Why We All Should Add Gratitude to Our Gift Lists

10 Quotes about Giving Thanks

'Tis the season. And with all the holiday displays, ads, and music that seem to start earlier and earlier every year, it's easy to overlook the one holiday that originated out of the spirit of gratitude—Thanksgiving. So as Thanksgiving approaches, I thought I'd share some quotes as a reminder of why we all should add gratitude to our gift lists this season.

Just an observation: it is impossible to be both grateful and depressed. Those with a grateful mindset tend to see the message in the mess. And even though life may knock them down, the grateful find reasons, if even small ones, to get up. ― Steve Maraboli

In normal life we hardly realize how much more we receive than we give, and life cannot be rich without such gratitude. It is so easy to overestimate the importance of our own achievements compared with what we owe to the help of others. ― Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Thanksgiving comes to us out of the prehistoric dimness, universal to all ages and all faiths. At whatever straws we must grasp, there is always a time for gratitude and new beginnings.― J. Robert Moskin

Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you’ll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it. ― Ralph Marston

As you're preparing for the hustle and bustle of the season, don't forget to add gratitude to your to-do list.

Enjoy the season!
