With me, you can expect empathy, acceptance, warmth, and humour.
Because it's hard. Because it's heavy. Because it hurts. Because you've been struggling for a while, and it's time to reach out. You have good reasons for feeling this way. Let's discover those good reasons together, and find ways for you to live alongside anxiety and depression, stress and change, grief and loss, parenting challenges, and/or trauma. Along the way, we will learn about your perspectives and values. Some clients want to explore their pasts to help understand their present, while others want to focus on the current situation. Whatever the case, I will help you reconnect with the wisdom and strength you already possess.

I primarily draw from therapeutic techniques found in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Relational-Cultural Therapy, as well as CBT, EFT, Strength-Based Therapy (etc), and will work with you to see what techniques fit you best.
Welcoming a new baby can be both rewarding and challenging, no matter how experienced you are as a parent. If you are feeling overwhelmed, sad, or just not yourself, you may be experiencing the effects of post-partum mood disorder (depression, anxiety, OCD, etc.). Many individuals suffer in silence, worried that their issues are not big enough. As a mother of three, I know we can all use a bit more help and support at times (and a lot more self compassion!). With specialized training in perinatal mental health and birth trauma, as well as grief and loss, my role is to help you through this journey.

I integrate modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions and other third-wave approaches.
Sometimes the ways in which we have learned to manage challenges in life end up pulling us away from the authentic life that we want to live. Feelings like anxiety and shame can show up and leave us feeling helpless and disconnected from ourselves and others. We often end up shaming ourselves for feeling a certain way rather than taking the time to understand our feelings and needs. If you are struggling and feeling stuck in patterns that are no longer serving you, I am here to help you find the courage within yourself to meet your suffering with understanding and compassion.

Using Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy, my job is to help you hear yourself think, figure out what matters most, and choose new directions based on your values.
Do you feel anxious, depressed, or emotionally exhausted? Are you coping with complex grief, parenting issues, struggles with spirituality, or neurodiversity? Are you wanting change, trying to deal with too many issues at once, or struggling to refocus on what matter most to you? You're the expert on you own life, but life is not always a gentle or forgiving place. You've made it this far; you're probably braver and more capable than you think. But the going is tough, and now you're seeking outside input to help you along the way. It would be a privilege to meet you.

Talk therapy will be approached from an existential-humanistic lens to support acceptance and change.
Are you afraid of feeling judged or misunderstood? My lived experience with addiction and mental health disorders brings a sense of allyship within the therapeutic setting. I believe that addiction is not the problem, instead, the problem is the problem. We will work together to understand the deeper challenges causing situational distress which can often result in maladaptive behaviours. Addiction can be in the form of substance use; or addiction to people, places or things. In addition to working privately, I provide psychotherapy for Addiction Rehab Toronto.

CBT, ACT and EFT can help reshape negative thought patterns, increase relaxation, and help empower and uncover your inner strengths and resources to instil a sense of agency and control over your emotions and experiences.
Are you currently struggling with the intricate difficulties presented by long-lasting health concerns, encompassing potential experiences of trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief? This burden can be amplified by the anxiety and distress that frequently accompany pain, health-related challenges, and traumatic experiences. Navigating these interwoven challenges can result in a complex cycle that leaves you with a sense of helplessness and isolation. I provide a compassionate approach that encompasses both the physical and psychological aspects of chronic pain, health-related anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.
