Is there something about your life you'd like to change? Thoughts you want to work on? goals you want to meet? feelings and reactions you wish were different? We all feel the need for change sometimes. But, it's just so easy to get stuck. To feel ineffective and unsupported in the effort to lead a happier, more fulfilling life. I understand how difficult it can be to feel trapped by self doubt, worry, and temptation to cope in problematic ways. I believe talking about struggles in therapy and working toward self-defined goals in a respectful environment can foster balance, self-acceptance, and empowerment.
Often times, we live life on auto-pilot; we get stuck in patterns of thought, emotion and behaviour that hinder self-awareness and prevent us from optimizing wellness. We ruminate on past experiences, attachment wounds, anxious thoughts, limiting beliefs and areas outside of our control. Unfortunately, this vicious cycle keeps our nervous system dysregulated and robs us of the ability to be present and conscious. It can hold us in states of fear, sadness, anger and hypervigilance. Ultimately, the stress from these behaviours and rigid rules of living impact our happiness, self-esteem, relationships, career, and view of the future.

Yet, for many of us it doesn’t come so easy or naturally for a host of reasons such as living with depression, anxiety, symptoms of trauma, stress, grief, emotional overwhelm, interpersonal challenges, etc. Not to mention, we are STILL trying to cope with and navigate the experience of living with those stressors during a pandemic. But please know this: you are more than your experiences , there is always hope and therapy can support your healing process!
