I often wonder why there is so much pain and suffering. I realized that what we need is not homeostasis or a tensionless state. Instead, we need the right amount of tension for change, growth, and development to take place. I had the privilege to journey with people facing different aspects of the human condition (suffering, grief, loss, meaninglessness, etc.) I am often amazed by human determination, courage, and strength in the process toward growth and development as they face life challenges. Life is full of challenges and adversity; it would be a privilege to journey with you toward a meaningful and purpose-driven life.

Life has a way of presenting challenges and difficulties that can stop even the strongest in their paths. Increased stress, sudden changes, anxiety, unresolved trauma...each can trigger unpleasant and negative emotions that hold us back at the least and damage our health and relationships at their worst. If your emotional or mental well-being, your relationships with others or with yourself, or your ability to problem solve is out of balance – whatever the issue or stumbling block, a safe therapeutic relationship can help you return to, or develop a greater sense of ease and well-being.

The pressures of life can leave us feeling defeated, misunderstood and hopeless. Despite trying our best, there are moments where we feel overwhelmed and out of control. We want things to change, but may not know where to begin - making us feel frustrated and stuck. My approach is to work collaboratively, to help support you in discovering ways to overcome these struggles. I assist clients who are experiencing relationship problems, trauma, grief, anxiety and depression. As a therapist trained in evidence based techniques my approach is client centered and flexible - one size does not fit all.

Being human is not always easy. Life experiences can leave you feeling fractured and lost. You may feel disconnected from self, relationships, work or your community. You may be experiencing hopelessness, anxiety, racing or intrusive thoughts. You may feel stuck in a cycle of behaviour that is no longer aligned with the life you want. You may feel overwhelmed and are struggling to focus or stay present. I'd like to help. Together we can explore issues, discover your goals, and develop tools and strategies to help your daily life feel more manageable and fulfilling.

Is life more than you can handle right now? Are you feeling anxious, stressed, overwhelmed and alone with no one to talk to? Or are you doing ok but want to take your life to the next level? Too often, as adult men and women of all ages and stages in life, we are told we need to be strong, face challenges, or manage significant change on our own. That’s simply not true. You don’t have to do it alone. I can help.

Life isn't always easy. It's not unusual to feel hurt or confused. People we count on are not always there for us in times of need because some people reach out when upset and some retreat. This can leave us feeling abandoned or overwhelmed. Therapy uses curiosity about our inner world to become more resilient, self aware, and engaged. Not all problems get solved by random talking. My tools help you get unstuck and deepen your sense of intimacy with yourself and others. Even your first time in therapy can be comfortable and productive. Check out the articles I've published in Psychology Today and call for a no obligation consult.

Taking the first steps into therapy is incredibly courageous. I am a therapist who is here to provide you with a safe space where we could explore the factors that have shaped your current circumstances together. Whether your story includes trauma, anxiety, difficulties in managing low mood, interpersonal relationship challenges, struggles with eating disorders, a desire to explore your own identity, and more, my goal is to support you in healing wounds, learn supportive coping skills, better understand feelings, and unlearn the patterns that no longer serve you.

You are "whole," not broken, though you may feel otherwise. You are an agent of change, and have the power to make a difference, in your own life and others. You know yourself best, and have resources within you that can be brought forth. You are perfectly imperfect. Early life experiences have shaped us, giving us resources and coping strategies to survive. Sometimes we find that later in life, these strategies no longer work for us, and we may need assistance to find different alternatives. As we become aware of ourselves, we can also become aware of where we can make changes.

Feeling down or worried? Sometimes life brings challenges that cause us to feel overwhelmed with no place to turn to. Sharing your concerns and ideas with someone helps. The thought of being alone often is the greatest hurdle but getting help and support is one of the best ways to navigate through your challenges and succeed in overcoming them. Therapy is a great option that will allow you to share your concerns and get the support you need.

Have you ever felt utterly alone, anxious, and disconnected? I too felt unsure, overwhelmed, and had trouble coping with life’s curve balls. My journey involved learning to lean into discomfort, to be open and vulnerable, and that one wrong turn does not mean the end. By opening up my authentic self to others and to myself, I learned that I am enough. I believe success in therapy is achieved by using an individualized approach that celebrates the qualities that bring us together as well as those that make us unique. We all face our own battles, but we do not have to go it alone.

Being vulnerable with anyone can feel really scary at times, especially with a complete stranger, so I commend you for your bravery in taking the first step to help yourself, which is starting to look for resources, which led to you reading this message. I don’t believe that there is a fix-all approach to people, so I do not apply one theoretical practice to all clients I work with. Human beings are diverse and dynamic, so any approach to your mental well being should be as well.

If you feel like something is in the way or holding you back from reaching your life worth living goals or finding connection, then I would like to help you . At some points, we can all experience difficult times and need support to guide us through. Experiences that have caused anxiety, pain, grief, loss, lack of connection, or shame can feel overwhelming if left unrecognized. I have found that through the creation of a safe, supportive, client-therapist relationship healing and change can happen. Authenticity, trust & respect are the guideline principles of my practice.

“Stepping into the world of therapy can be a scary and challenging experience.” Why? It may be because you grew up in an environment or culture where “talking” about your mental health did not exist, was not accepted, or when you did, it was not validated. Know that I actively try to de-stigmatize “going to therapy” as part of my practice. I believe that therapy can look different for everyone. Some individuals engage in therapy to maintain their emotional well-being and balance in their life and/or some want to actively address debilitating mental health concerns. My approach is to meet you where you are at.

Welcome! Hope and healing are something we all long for when we are hurting. I have worked in spiritual care for the past fifteen years and my passion is to see people heal from past wounds and future fears. My journey started being born and raised in Australia where everything is said to be, “She’ll be right mate!”. However, we all know that is not reality. As we go through life, we experience breakups, hardships, sickness, failure, and loneliness. What if we can take these things and turn them into an opportunity for growth?
