My family and I moved to Richmond in August 2017 and fell in love with the area. I grew up in Long Island, New York and obtained my Master’s Degree in Social Work at Stony Brook University. My family and I spent 10 years living in sunny Florida where I worked in a community mental health agency. I received her LCSW during this time and had the privilege of working with a diverse population. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is experienced in working with adolescents, adults, and families. I believe that we all have struggles that can benefit from support from time to time.

Mariellen Blanton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) who has 30 years of experience working with adults seeking assistance with life stressors, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, loss, substance abuse, and restoring balance in life. Mariellen completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology at St. Leo University and her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Norfolk State University.

Trauma, addiction, and other personal stressors can feel overwhelming and confusing when confronted alone. Together, the client and therapist can work toward healing, growth, and change. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings helping clients resolve complicated issues in their personal and professional lives. I have an extensive background in treating addiction as it pertains to the individual and the family. Additionally, my work has focused on codependency, men's and women's issues, trauma/PTSD, relationship stress, and developing healthy communication with others. I also work with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders.

Having been born with cerebral palsy and overcoming this obstacle through dedication, fortitude, and acceptance gives me a unique lived experience through which to help others with similar disabilities as well as mental health concerns experienced by individuals without disabilities. Most people experience mental health difficulties at some point in their life. I believe that people from any background can benefit from processing their experiences therapeutically and that this process allows them to gain new perspectives that help them capitalize on their strengths and to discover the personal values that that make them unique.

I work with children from 3 to 18 as well as adults, couples and families with issues such as trauma histories, anxiety, depression, school issues, self-esteem issues, anger management, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, divorce issues, family conflict and parenting. My goal is to provide a safe space where children and adults can feel free to express themselves and in that process develop self-awareness and a skill set to improve relationships with themselves and with others. I do this in a non-judgmental, compassionate and caring way to promote healing and transformation.

Tertia Marshall is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 6 years of experience counseling teens, adults, and families in diverse populations with a variety of challenging issues including parenting difficulties, life stressors, low self-esteem, relationship issues, mood disorders, trauma, and anxiety disorders such as PTSD. Tertia's counseling approach is non-judgemental, respectful, genuine yet direct. If you are willing to do the work, she is willing to help support you through the process.

Mary Struzinsky is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Trauma Specialist (CTS) with over 30 years of experience working in counseling settings such as private practice, serving as a counselor and administrator for agencies providing foster care and adoption, youth residential, and outpatient mental health services for adults and families. In Mary's free time, she spends time with her family including her husband, three kids, four cats, and a new puppy. Mary completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Syracuse University.
