I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I utilize multiple modes of therapeutic interventions (talk, play, art, etc.) in treatment planning to help better assess and treat each individual adult, child, adolescent, and family’s needs. Treatment is designed to address the specific concerns of each individual; and is flexible to address multiple areas of needed growth and development. I conduct individual, family, marriage/couple, and group therapy with adults, children, and adolescents ages 4 to 99.
Reaching out for help in the form of therapy is not an easy thing to do as many can attest, but by reading this biography, you are taking the first step in getting help for yourself or a loved one. At times, life offers many struggles and obstacles that can be difficult to overcome alone. Engaging in therapy will provide opportunities to explore and process the thoughts and feelings that prevent you from living your best life. Though the thought of therapy may be intimidating and even nerve-wrecking for some, I believe once a person finds the right therapist, they find a trusting confidant who seeks to understand and problem solve.

**Not accepting new clients** I predominantly treat adolescents and young adults and a significant number of my clients are students at The College of William & Mary. Common presenting problems include perfectionism, worry, anxiety, panic attacks, depression and self-esteem. In addition, I help students navigate the challenging and sometimes overwhelming transition to college as well as prepare for life after-graduation. I approach treatment from an integrative perspective, combining cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness and skill building, all with a friendly and directive style.
Depression? Anxiety? Difficulties in your relationships? Trauma? ...
If you believe that there is anything that you would like to change, or that is not allowing you to enjoy your life, I invite you to come to take a look at your world, and together to start the process of figuring out how to make it better.
I believe that therapy is a collaboration between client and therapist in a supportive and safe environment where you can explore how your past has impacted who you are now and how to make changes in your thoughts and actions.
I have more than 25 years of experience providing psychotherapy and psychological evaluations to children (ages 5 and up), adolescents and adults. I work with individuals facing a wide variety of mental health concerns and specialize in the treatment of OCD, OCD-related disorders, and anxiety. I also provide consultation to other professionals treating individuals with OCD. I have a strong background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and individualize these evidence-based treatments to help my clients achieve lasting change.
I enjoy working with clients who are struggling with life issues particularly anxiety, depression and trauma. Together, we examine areas of struggle or "stuckness" and identify new ways of being more engaged and effective in relationship with others and ourselves. Treatment modalities range from short-term brief, CBT, and problem-focused dynamic therapies to longer-term
analytic work. For individuals seeking
greater self-growth, I am a fully-trained and
certified Jungian psychoanalyst and use dreams and active imagination to identify unconscious material that may lead an individual to a greater sense of life fulfillment and ultimately joy!
Life can be challenging in many different ways. Many people use therapy to help achieve positive change and a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle. This can be done through healing and personal growth from our life's experiences, and by increasing self-awareness and coping skills for life's challenges. I work with people of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults on issues such as relationships, parenting, trauma, anxiety, depression, stress management and life transitions.

Congratulations on taking the first step toward healing and change! You may have experienced a recent event that has immobilized you. Or perhaps you have been feeling this way for quite sometime. The emotions you are experiencing may be the result of the death of loved one, infertility experiences, pregnancy loss, adoption experiences, chronic or terminal illnesses, divorce, job loss or retirement, or other life transitions. You may be feeling as though others don't understand. Together we will create a meaningful therapeutic connection; together we will explore your feelings - in a non-judgmental, open and safe space.
I am a bilingual licensed therapist who enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I strive to provide a non-judgmental, safe therapeutic place where we can explore your fears, thoughts and feelings. I will support you in therapy to best meet your goals and dreams.
Therapy is about meeting the client where they are and working with each individual collaboratively. It is about feeling heard and safe as we unfold each unique experience. It is a chance to tell your story, your way without any interruptions or edits in a non-judgmental space. It is about becoming self-aware and doing the hard work to create the best version of yourself. It is about gaining some control back and feeling empowered to reach your goals. It is not linear. It is very much a journey. My goal is to encourage and support you along the way.
