Currently accepting new clients. Often times life experiences can change our view of the world and impact life in a way that stops us from experiencing peace and joy. I believe we can all change and heal to create the life we want. I have over 20 years of experience working in child welfare, substance abuse, mental health and juvenile justice, witnessing resilience that emerges when people have a safe space to share their story and learn new skills to navigate life.

You’ve spent a lot of time holding it together on the outside—pushing through expectations, staying strong for others, and doing everything you were “supposed” to do. But inside, it feels different: heavy with self-doubt, disconnected from who you are, and tired of questioning your worth. Maybe you feel caught between cultures, generations, or the person you think you should be and the person you want to become. If any of this feels familiar, you're in the right place. I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma, rebuild their self-esteem, and reconnect with their true selves.

Welcome. I'm so glad you're here. We've all been through dark, soul crushing times and we have survived. Pause for a moment. Turn inward. Offer a quiet "thank you" to yourself and all the parts that have carried you here. That moment of gratitude marks the beginning of your healing journey. Breath with that. Therapy is not just about learning tools and coping skills, and it’s not just about debriefing from stressful moments. It’s about an inner evolution—one where your life will no longer be shaped by deficit, imbalance, and trauma. Instead it will be rooted in growth, resilience, and the emergence of your authentic

Are uncomfortable emotions or limiting beliefs clouding your ability to connect to your internal compass and live a life aligned with what you value? Have you been left reeling from the impacts of the pandemic, world events, or other life stressors? If so, I'm here to help you make sense of it all. I believe change is possible when we couple compassionate curiosity with consistent and appropriate support. We are social creatures by nature and thrive when we feel connected and understood by others. But it can be hard to seek out those connections when we're struggling to understand and be at peace with ourselves.

It’s an opportunity to process experiences, develop healthier ways of thinking and coping, and move toward a more fulfilling life. Meaningful change is always possible. Through self-exploration and the therapeutic process, we’ll work together to foster growth and create a healthier life narrative.

The ideal client wanting to work with me is motivated to change and show up authentically. It’s a person who is struggling with substance abuse, mood disorders, life transitions, romantic/relational issues, or perinatal/postpartum struggles. Maybe you’ve identified the problem and struggle finding solutions. Maybe you need support because the solution doesn’t feel good. It’s also possible you’re someone who feels completely lost and that’s okay too.

You're a badass go-getter, motivated by working towards your life's goals, but something feels stuck or slows your progress. Your life is mostly together, but you're dealing with anxiety, low-self esteem, or negative self-talk pretty regularly. Maybe you feel like it's hard to form relationships with others around you. There's a chance social media makes you feel inadequate. Maybe you still feel or notice the effects of a trauma in your past. You've considered talking to someone about these things before, but therapy always seemed drastic or a little too extra. (I promise, it's not!) Email or call if this sounds like you!

You might feel like your past trauma is a shadow that never quite leaves — replaying in your mind, making it hard to trust, or even to breathe. Maybe the weight of pain from abuse, loss, or attachment wounds makes each day feel heavier than it should. You don’t need to carry that burden alone. I guide people through that heaviness with a deeply compassionate and culturally attuned approach. Together, we’ll explore the roots of your experience, build skills to cope, and create a path toward resilience and restoration.

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
