My ideal client is someone that has an area of their life that is causing them some angst and they would like to openly and honestly discuss this area and identify ways of resolving this issue or at least living more comfortably with it. The client is willing to have consistent dialogue about how to improve this area of their life and is willing to try new ideas and/or behaviors suggested during therapy within their daily life.

I see therapy as a collaborative process and invite clients to take an active role in their treatment. I focus on managing symptoms, facilitating empowerment, and building confidence as well as teaching the tools necessary to allow clients to be their personal best and create an overall sense of well-being. My integrated approach brings clarity, direction, and positive support for my clients. I love helping others believe and realize what’s possible.
Do you need help for your troubled teenager or adolescent? Is your child listless, seem depressed and complain of having no friends? Frustrated by disrespect, anger, difficulty in school. Is your child making all the wrong choices. I address issues with children and adolescents such as fears, anxiety, depression, social skills and relationship issues.
True growth begins to take shape through self-awareness, reflection, and change. The therapeutic relationship is a major step towards that growth through collaboration, exploration, and understanding. I take great value in this relationship and hope to provide a sense of safety, curiosity, and overall relief of symptoms. I hope to help individuals develop and utilize better coping strategies, gain understanding of behaviors, and make connections between the past and present. It's truly an honor to watch individuals work to gain the successes in their lives, find true happiness and security, and an overall solid sense of themselves.
*Note: Not currently accepting new clients.* It is my goal to provide a trauma informed, safe, genuine, and compassionate environment where individuals can learn practical skills and tools to feel better. I use cognitive-behavioral, trauma-focused, and mindfulness therapies that have proven effective both in my own practice and in evidence-based research. This approach can provide an improved sense of psychological well-being, and a strong foundation for a life that is more manageable and peaceful.
Are these troubling times leading you down that slippery slope to relapse? Is the social isolation causing you to withdraw into a depressive state? Significant other driving you insane? My passion is to help pull people out of their heads and help to get emotions under control so that they can go back to living their lives. My goal is to help you and/or your significant other alleviate that mental suffering be that addiction, symptoms of your past trauma/s, depression, infidelity or anxiety.
You may be asking yourself "Who am I anymore"? Or even, "How did I get here?" Life has taken you far away from where you imagined you would be. You know you want something different, but you're not sure how to get it. The one thing you do know is the path that brought you here - taking care of everyone else, not voicing your needs and not holding boundaries - left you wounded, empty and utterly off-course. You know you need to change and you know the time for change is now. There is a saying: if nothing changes - nothing changes. This work takes courage - courage I know you have.
We all deserve to feel safe and connected. But sometimes, overwhelming things happen that prevent us from feeling grounded in the world. Whatever you are experiencing, be that anxiety, depression, the pain of trauma, a sense of isolation, social/familial rejection, or estrangement, in our collaborative work together we will tend to what hurts and nurture the vitality that exists within you. I wholeheartedly believe in providing a supportive therapeutic environment that allows my clients to safely explore and integrate the many unique and essential parts of themselves.
I see a wide range of clients from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of presenting concerns. I have had much experience with families, marriage therapy, children and adolescents, trauma, depression, anxiety, bereavement counseling, and stress management. I only offer video counseling or telephonic counseling.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with years of experience working with adolescents, adults and couples. Having relocated to the Czech Republic I currently have a private practice in Prague. In addition I am working virtually with patients, using HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform VSee. I strive to provide effective clinical experiences focused on mental health or substance misuse issues. Relationship dynamics can promote problems. Including partners or dependents can quicken the healing process. According to (Relationship, Health, & Marriage: 2005) less than half the participants actually benefit. My job is to understand your problems, see potential solutions, and search for ways to help. Transferred learning from the therapy experience to "real life" means we were successful. "Clients often report the benefits of treatment endure and may continue to improve after therapy" (Am. Psych. Association 2013).
Life presents challenges which require us to explore our innate strengths and resilience. I work collaboratively to explore emotions and core beliefs, create balance, set healthy boundaries and reframe negative thinking. I work exclusively with women age 18 and above - individually and in groups. If you are feeling unsettled, depressed or anxious, I provide a safe and comfortable environment to explore these issues, to gain insights, to develop solutions, and to navigate life's challenges.
I identify as an ethicist; a Womanist who advocates and practices feminist ideals, cultural humility through continuous learning, bodily integrity, reproductive justice, and pacifism by utilizing non-violent resistance techniques. I believe children have rights, whistleblowers are vital in society, I embrace LGBTQ+, Black Lives Matter is factual, and representation matters. I practice mindfulness with the philosophy of ‘margin to center’ action. I embody, advocate, and support activism in action and respect of human rights. Neither ever ends, even when it is inconvenient or uncomfortable. We must remain firmly resolved.
