I am a licensed psychotherapist for 25 years in VA and West VA. I obtained my BA in Psychology from the University of Richmond in 1994 and my Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia in 1997. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy and have been trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) for Complex Trauma (parts work), Hakomi, Core Energetics, dream work, mindfulness based stress reduction, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic, and Psychodynamic. 2x winner of top Bedside Manner Award in Our Health Magazine for counselors in the Roanoke Valley.

Established over 10 years ago, we originally opened as Prince William Family Counseling and provided the community with trustworthy therapy services in a safe, welcoming environment. In 2015 the agency was purchased and took on new ownership and we became Woodbridge Therapy Group. With the recent change in ownership, we have expanded our number of providers, added more services, and renewed our investment in the community.

I'm Tammy Reade, a licensed professional counselor, having earned my degree from George Mason University in 2020. My path to counseling has been shaped by my personal journey, spanning over 25 years in the field. My diverse experience encompasses working with adults, couples, adolescents, and children. I've held roles such as a child protection worker, juvenile probation officer, advocate for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, foster parent trainer, and jail therapist. Yet, my most meaningful role has been as an adoptive and foster parent for more than 22 years.

Every person has issues that they could use help dealing with at some point in their lives. Maybe the problem is depression, anxiety, self-esteem, or confidence. Maybe the problem is a mixture of many things or you might not even understand what the problem is or where it has come from. Whatever it may be we all want to work toward optimal functioning and well being but to do this we sometimes need assistance in working though issues of the mind or emotions.
