I use somatic-based EMDR, Natural Processing, as a therapeutic technique to assist individuals in overcoming various challenges. Throughout our lives, we encounter situations that may cause harm or discomfort. While some of these experiences may seem inconsequential, others become apparent as problematic over time. When individuals begin to grapple with difficulties such as anxiety, depression, physical symptoms, stress reactions, or emotional intolerance, they may recognize the need for change.

I am a doctor of Psychology who has gained a high level of education and training in both Western and Eastern therapeutic and healing methods. I synthesize my methods and create an individualized treatment plan for each client. The client plays a major part in creating the treatment plan and the goals that will be reached throughout the therapeutic process. A holistic approach considers all facets of the body and the human experience. The client can be assured that the practitioner will have knowledge and expertise in many domains that have been synthesized into a new approach to growth, transition, transformation, and healing.

My style of therapy is one of collaboration. I will start with you where you are. With my education and experience, in combination with your life experiences, we will make a great team. I recognize that therapy is hard work and I will be there to provide support, encouragement, insight, guidance, information and interventions along the way.

I know finding the right therapist can be a daunting task. I hope to make that easier. I pride myself on my ability to work with persons in a supportive and encouraging setting. I strongly believe in each persons potential and ability to make changes and create happiness. I hold a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology and will meet you at 1st Priority Institute for Better Living where the atmosphere is cheerful and hopeful; optimistic for a better tomorrow:).

My desire is to bring care and compassion into the counseling relationship. I believe there is hope in breaking free from pain and fear, ultimately bringing about a life of purpose and joy. I bring with me experience in family relationships, raising children (who are now all adults), and marriage. Life in the military also brings with it the experience of instability and change in family and relationships. I believe each person has their own story to tell and that ultimately, healing is possible.

Michele holds credentials as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience. She graduated from University of Denver with a B.A. in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Social Work. She has worked both in private practice and within the school system settings. She has been a school social worker for 28 years.

Connecting with clients on a deep level is absolutely vital as a therapist. I take pride in getting to know YOU personally, and tend to take more of a coaching role throughout therapy. Our sessions together are all about your journey, no issue is too big or small. My specialty and first therapeutic love is working with couples. I believe that all couples have the ability to get back to the honeymoon phase--and stay there. I also LOVE working with couples in the pre-marital/pre-engagement phase. I consider it an honor to give engaged couples a safe place to work through the kinks before embarking on their great journey together!

Welcome to Purpose, PLLC! I am Kedisha Dixon, MSW, LCSW, the owner of Purpose. Purpose was established to be a support for our adolescent community. A safe place to navigate the challenges of anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict or whatever “purpose robbers” that are at play. My purpose as a clinically trained therapist is to engage with adolescents; teaching them new ways of adapting/coping with mental health symptoms or challenges. With an eclectic and directive approach, my ultimate purpose in this work is healing through social work and therapy!
