I specialize in helping individuals with complex trauma, identity issues, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and OCD. These struggles may seem impossible to overcome, especially when compounded by the adversity of marginalization, identity struggles or abuse. My mission is to help you feel whole by building skills, developing self-esteem and healthy attachment, and processing burdens. This includes attuning to the body, calming the nervous system, finding meaning in life, and healing with the compassion and clarity of the true Self. I am here to be a witness, a companion on your journey, and a fellow human being who truly cares.

I enjoy working with adolescents as well as adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, responses from trauma, or low self-esteem. It is important for me to get to know my clients so that we can work together to develop a plan on how to improve any issues that may be present. I tailor my approach to counseling based on client need rather than purely diagnosis as every individual responds to treatment differently. I am part of a group practice that has clinicians with a variety of specialties, populations they serve, and availability.

I love the imagery of a phoenix. Sometimes in life, it feels like we are burning up due to circumstances beyond our control. What we are left with is a pile of ashes. But from those ashes, I believe we all have the power to change and grow into these beautiful creatures, free to make our lives what we want them to be. My goal is to work with and stand by you through whatever the flames and ashes of your life are, and to help empower you as you learn and grow into your own version of a phoenix, whatever that looks like for you.

Couples therapy has been found to be least effective of all therapies, thus it is important for clients to seek out therapists who are versed in the latest research on couples and marital therapy. The unique couples approach I co-created with my wife, called the Couples Synergy model, has helped thousands of couples internationally for over 25 years.

Therapy is about developing a new kind of relationship with your experience and facing yourself with more honesty. Much of our pain and struggle stem from either not knowing accurately our patterns or resisting our experience, judging it, and denying it. If you are feeling stuck in patterns that don't serve you and need help to think about your issues in a different way, I invite you to contact me. We will slow down to understand what's beneath the surface to instigate new thinking. We have our answers within and by looking inside, our suffering finds meaning and transformation, our vision finds clarity and awakening.

Maybe your thoughts never slow down or you fixate on the same thought over and over and over. You're terrified of something happening to your child and can't stop thinking "what if..." Maybe you feel like if there's one more thing added to your plate, you very well might explode. Or maybe you stare at your ceiling every night instead of sleeping, rethinking your day and what you could have done and said differently. Maybe you're having trouble finding your voice as a woman or setting boundaries for "you time," or you're struggling as a new a mom to love your little one and yourself at the same time. I see you and I can help.

You want to feel grounded, less overwhelmed, and more in control of your life or relationship. On the outside you look capable, but inside you’re exhausted, anxious, overthinking, or stuck in patterns you can’t quite shift. You may feel disconnected from yourself or your partner, stretched thin by responsibilities, or tired of people-pleasing and perfectionism. You want clarity, balance, emotional regulation, and healthier communication, but you don’t want another quick fix. You want real, sustainable change.

My passion is working with clients in transition and I specialize in counseling women 40s and older who are facing peri-menopause/post-menopause, using GLP-1 medications, aging parents, adult sibling relationships, emancipating children and career transitions. For women in this stage of life there might be a feeling of invisibility and irrelevance. It can be helpful to work with a therapist who is closer in age. It's hard to navigate these situations in isolation and because of the complex relational history, there can be a sense of overwhelm and emotional triggers. How would it be if this were a time of mastery and empowerment?

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years in marketing, where I noticed the struggle to access quality mental health care. This gap inspired me to switch careers and help close it. My interests also include the mental health impacts of COVID and chronic illness. I’m actively involved in research in these areas and love seeing people build confidence and feel better. Specialized care for OCD is often hard to find, I'm excited to work with NOCD to provide this need. At NOCD, my team and I focus on evidence-based treatment for OCD, supported by our intensive training in ERP—the gold standard for OCD treatment.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with 20+ years of experience helping adults and teens make meaningful change in their lives. For some, this means overcoming anxiety, depression, life transitions or relationship problems. Others may feel empty, unfulfilled, or stuck. My goal is to help you navigate challenges, reduce suffering and increase connection with yourself and others. Like every individual, each therapeutic relationship is unique. I work with people that have discrete, short-term goals as well as those that want to deeply understand their patterns and behaviors. I provide licensure supervision for Ph.D, Psy.D. and LPC.

My ideal clients are individuals who may appear “high-functioning” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected on the inside. They may be navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, lingering effects of past experiences, or an ongoing sense that something isn’t quite aligned. Often, they’re carrying a lot internally while trying to meet expectations at work, in relationships, or for themselves. These clients come to therapy because they want relief from anxiety, clarity during uncertain life phases, and healthier ways of relating to others and to themselves.
