Hey, I’m glad you’re here. I help high-achieving adults who feel stuck—whether in their relationships, career, food/body image, or finances. You might find yourself caught in frustrating cycles with money, food, or relationships, despite your best efforts to stay disciplined. If it feels like no matter what you do, things remain chaotic, you’re not alone. You’re here because you want real change, and I believe you can achieve it. I help individuals uncover the deeper patterns holding them back and find the clarity and confidence to move forward. Together, we’ll figure out what’s getting in your way—and how to get unstuck.

I see therapy as a partnership; you are the expert on your thoughts, feelings, and past experiences, and I am the guide who helps reframe and challenge certain lenses you might be using to view a situation or part of yourself. One of my primary specialties is working with those who are struggling with their use of substances. Another area of passion for me is assisting those who are experiencing anxiety, depression, or who are having difficulty moving on from a past event. A third focus in my practice is working with the experiences of those in the LGBTQ+ community.

Have you been feeling stuck and are ready to feel empowered again? My first step as a psychotherapist is to meet the client where they are at in any given phase in treatment. I build rapport through my sense of warmth and empathy. The next step is to provide reflections so that the client can gain self-awareness and clarity, identifying patterns and understanding how systems and cultural factors have influenced the messages we have received throughout our lives. With this gained knowledge, the goal is to identify what has no longer been serving us so that we can reach empowerment and self-efficacy.

It feels like it will never stop: the constant battle in your head. The mental spirals around what you ate, how much you ate, what exercise you have to do because you ate, and whether that was okay to eat or not. You tell yourself that once you get to that number, that size, that feeling in your body, things will finally be okay. You can’t just stop, and why would you? When your mind quiets down all you can think about is how you have failed, how lost you feel, and how disconnected you are.

Do you feel as though you are parenting several children in one? Do you have an adoptive child that is struggling? Does your child: deny remembering specific events, vary in his/her abilities, rapidly change moods, steal, hoard food, lack social skills, show physical/verbal aggression, react disproportionately to specific situations? Are you confused by your child's behavior and frustrated that your current parenting skills/techniques are not effective? Are your child's teachers reporting inappropriate or disruptive behaviors at school? Would you like to gain hope, learn new skills, and see more of who your child really is?

We can't always control what life brings our way, but we can choose how we respond to it. I enjoy helping people reconnect with their natural wisdom in the midst of life's challenges. My goal is to help my clients gain awareness of what is already working in their lives and what patterns and habits have become outdated or self-defeating. A situation, problem or symptom that appears unworkable or overwhelming can offer the key to its own healing when held with gentle, inquisitive attention.

Envision a life where the obstacles you face, such as depression, anxiety, fear, and loneliness, no longer hinder your progress. When these concerns cloud your mind and hinder your sense of purpose, they profoundly impact your mood, relationships, and overall quality of life. Therapy can help you cultivate deeper, more meaningful relationships, find more satisfaction in your personal life or professional life, and move away from the influence of worries and fears. I use a combination of talk therapy (narrative therapy, EMDR) and behavioral approaches (ERP) for well-rounded therapy.

The trails of life can be confusing. Sometimes there are so many to chose from with no clear choice. Other times, the trails grow faint. And still other times, all we can see is one trail, and we aren't thrilled with where it's heading. What we need are questions to help us discern which trail, or new ground to traverse. If you’re looking for the answers, I’m not your guy. If you are courageous enough to ask the questions and look deep, pack a bag. It’ll be a ride.
