In order to provide unique and individualized care, I offer a multitude of services such as individual therapy, family therapy, couples counseling, and group therapy. I am licensed to treat clients in both Florida and Utah and I believe in alternative ways of conducting therapy based on the needs of my clients. I have spent the vast majority of my career supporting and counseling clients facing issues ranging from eating disorders and addictions, couples/family conflict, and mood disorders.

I believe that seeking help from a therapist takes strength and courage. When I see clients, it is my goal to compassionately and collaboratively address the issues that are most difficult, and help lead and guide them in their process of resolving concerns. I believe people have incredible abilities, thus one of my primary goals is to help explore, process and improve the manifestations of these strengths. I am passionate about helping people improve individual, couple and family functioning and I believe that a safe, comfortable and confidential environment is important in that process.

My treatment approach places an emphasis on the mind-body relationship and is both experiential and pragmatic. I specialize in the treatment of mood and behavior-related disorders as well as culture-based identity conflict. I work with families, adolescents, teens, and individuals to help them develop deeper connections to themselves, and stronger more fulfilling relationships with others, resulting in increased vitality, improved quality of life, and joy. I completed my Masters in Social Work at the University of Utah in 2000 and my LCSW in 2002. Since that time, I have worked in various clinical settings from school counseling, residential care, foster-care, outpatient clinics and private practice. My therapeutic style evokes the strength and wisdom already inherent within each individual. My role as a therapist is to guide and inspire clients through an empathetic, straight forward approach to learn coping skills and secure a foundation for truly lasting changes.

I managed LDS Family Services for 13 years and loved directing the 12-step Addiction Recovery Program in Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania. I've been recruited by multiple residential treatment centers, a hospital, a skilled nursing facility, and by an IOP program assessing and treating substance abuse and domestic violence.

I have an extensive 20-year background as a therapist in a multitude of settings.
