My goal is to assist you in therapy to help discover your true self, and lead you to a life worth celebrating. While no one can change difficult situations or experiences of the past, you and I can work together to better understand and resolve the challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapeutic approaches and techniques, I will help you change long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I believe that when a person feels safe, seen, and connected, change can occur. It is an honor to sit with a child or teen in their most vulnerable moments and provide the feeling of “you are seen, you are safe here.” I am trained to help children and teens grow in connection to self, emotional regulation, and adaptive coping skills. I also understand parents' challenges and believe they deserve to feel connected, seen, and heard. I don’t believe there is such a thing as a “perfect parent,” but I also know that we don’t always feel like we know what to do when our child is struggling.

As of August 2023, I have relocated my practice from Houston, TX to Nashville, TN. I am now scheduling fall in-person psychological, psychoeducational, and school neuropsychological assessments and therapy sessions in Nashville, TN and telepsychology appointments in the 39 PSYPACT states.

My passion for working with individuals (children, adolescents, and adults of all ages) is rooted in my faith in God. My goals are centered around helping you improve your resiliency, acceptance/contentment with life, reconcile loss/grief, and improve the overall balance of mind/body/spirit needed to enjoy life. Utilizing mindfulness and other techniques, we'll explore ways to improve the way you respond to life's challenges. My approach is holistic and person-centered while providing you the support needed to grow.

With fees as low as $10 per session, we work to make talk therapy services available for everyone in the Nashville community. As a center for couples, families, and individuals, Lipscomb Family Therapy Center provides a comfortable and confidential therapy setting to discuss issues you may be struggling with. All LFTC therapist interns provide services on a sliding fee scale that runs from $10 to $50 per session based on client income. At LFTC, we welcome opportunities to work with everyone, regardless of religious or spiritual background. We believe that seeking help shows strength and a commitment to becoming a healthier person.

Welcome to Counseling by Camryn! I am passionate about helping others make sense of their experiences, decisions, and who they are becoming. Sometimes the unexpected happens and can knock us down. It's important to work through these events instead of pushing them down under. They always have a way of resurfacing in the least helpful ways and at the most inconvenient times. Together, we can sort these buried items and find a place where they can be seen, but not interfere with the path that leads us to where we desire to be.
