I believe that everyone needs therapy at some point in their life. Are you anxious and are realizing the coping skills you have aren't working? I've been there. Are you realizing there is some healing that you need and don't know where to begin? I've been there as well. Maybe you need help managing your relationships? I can help with that too. I believe that mental health and healing are possible, and would be honored to walk with you towards it. I use a client-centered, integrative approach to therapy including CBT, EFT, and narrative therapy. Ultimately, I want my therapy space to be a place of comfort and healing for you.

In times like these it can feel like you’re losing a lot: losing hope, losing sleep, losing control. But pain can be productive. Struggles can be opportunities to see what we're made of. They can also be the impetus to make changes we've been putting off, maybe out of fear that they would upset the balance we work so hard to maintain. Right now during this pandemic, it's hard to find one thing in our lives that hasn't changed and there are so many unknowns. It can be very difficult to persevere when you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel and when your usual outlets for support and coping are now limited.
Sometimes difficult thoughts, feelings, and experiences take us away from the life we want to live. It may not seem clear how therapy can help. I provide a non-judgmental and secure space where, together, we can clarify your goals and develop a treatment plan. My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based clinical practices. Combining behavioral and mindfulness-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention, I help clients develop insight and take action in order to live engaged, meaningful lives.
We all seek safety, health and happiness in our lives, sometimes supported by, and other times challenged by, our life experiences, relationships and larger environment. Life often provides many resources for safety, health and happiness. When our connection with these resources is somehow block or reduced, we can use a supportive, caring relationship to find our way through worries, depression, dependencies, grief, low self-esteem, relationship disturbances, and spiritual struggles.
A healer. Already completed their deeper trauma work. Committed to their spiritual ascension. Committed to finding their authenticity above all else. Willing to change their lives. Ready for conscious shadow work. Willing to do homework each day in order to re-habituate a new way of being. Available to give up being a victim and become accountable. Aspiring to developing nonattachment in all things. The more shamanic the juicier(for me) and I do not believe there is any ONE right path! Discerning family of origin patterns and changing them is a life goal. Intimacy work. MOSTLY changing thought patterns and inner child work joy!

As a clinical counselor and pastor I value creating space for intentional listening to discover and discern how personal uniqueness can find expression within the contours of life. I work collaboratively with individuals, families and adolescents to grow awareness around the stories we tell ourselves. Sometimes these are strong, positively thick stories, and I enjoy celebrating progression with another when this occurs. More often than not in counseling, I find that our normal human experiences bring with them the challenge of embracing life as it actually is.
"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we'll ever do." (Brene Brown) Relationships teach us what to believe about ourselves--whether we are lovable, worthy, and good--and what to believe about the world around us--whether it's safe and trustworthy. When the relationships are hurtful, it becomes unsafe to rely on others, and we begin to believe the negative stories we've been told. Asking for help is daunting and courageous, and you're here taking that step! Together, we will dive into your story so you can own the truths and put the falsehoods in their place while learning to love yourself.
