Have you ever had someone ask how you’re doing, then completely check out before you have the chance to answer? There is transformative power in simply being heard. My goal is to allow you that experience because that is where healing and change will start. Together, we can work toward finding solutions that will support your relationships, your goals, and your life. Our struggles come in a variety of packages: painful life events, dealing with self-sabotaging behaviors (like addictions), a birth condition or disability, walking through the fear and pain when you’re told your child has a disabling condition.
I care about YOU and the troubles YOU are experiencing. I understand that even when we are trying our best, sometimes we find ourselves in difficult situations -- within ourselves and in relationships with others. That's why I have devoted nearly all of my life to learning how to best help individuals, couples, and families navigate through the toughest of times to be the very best they can be. In my private practice, I am committed to walking with you through the dark, difficult seasons of your life until you are better able to walk on your own.
If you find yourself on this site – you are likely looking for help. There is no problem too small, or too large that counseling can’t help. Your life may feel disrupted from a new change, or feeling weighted by the same chronic feelings. You may feel objectively everything ‘should’ feel fine, and yet struggle to feel fulfillment. You may find yourself in a cycle of control trying to fix things on your own, only for more problems to come up. If you have made it this far – then you likely have tried it on your own, and are looking for help. I would love to help you – no matter what form that takes, even if it is just a phone call!

Many people seek therapy because they want answers to their problems, for example, a diagnosis, a treatment plan, etc. It can be enormously helpful to have an understanding of one's problems and coping patterns. The initial phase of any treatment is to develop a clear understanding of the problem and possible interventions, including behavioral and lifestyle changes, etc.
At the same time, change is rarely the product of finding a specific intervention, but is often the process of finding better questions. People grow and change through relationships; and psychotherapy is a special kind of relationship that facilitates this process.
I strive for my clients to feel comforted and safe while they heal. I also offer telehealth for individuals who are not reasonably located near my practice or prefer therapy at their location. I consider myself a Rogerian therapist as I feel that a clinician has to be empathetic and genuine and display strong positive regard for the client.

"Meet people where they are" is my motto. To me, that is the best place to start. Making the decision to begin therapy is hard and sometimes scary. My goal is to create a safe space for my clients to address whatever they are struggling with. I am non-judgmental and understand that there are reasons people are and/or feel a certain way. I love helping people understand the root of the issue and working to resolve and get healing from the issue.

I am no different than you. I too have grieved and felt lost and struggled at times. I too have sought compassionate presence when I needed it most. And that's what gives me the ability to connect with my clients. I truly believe that we are all in this together. There are many helpful treatment approaches which I and other therapists utilize, but ultimately I have seen healing and growth take place in the context of therapeutic relationship and presence. That is what I am committed to bringing to those I serve.
I help clients struggling with identity issues, trauma, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and substance abuse issues using a promising new approach called Acceptance & Integration Training (AAIT). What you'll love most about AAIT is its ability to help you quickly resolve the layers of conditioning, self-judgment, loss, and regrets and access a greater sense of wholeness and peace.
The one thing I have always known in my life that I love to do is help others. I have spent the last 15 years in the Caring field which is a true passion in life. I am attentive, genuinely interested in listening to others stressors and finding strategies to solve, cope or reduce them. In daily living, people go through difficult times that makes it impossible to live healthy but working through them with therapy will help you cope with them in more appropriate ways.
Do you find yourself ruminating over the past and feel embarrassed, anxious, or depressed for “not being over it"? Trauma has a deep effect on our lives and awareness of that impact is what helps us to navigate it more skillfully. Through careful observation of how we think, feel, and act, we can sink deeper into our experiences and become more knowledgeable of ourselves. By engaging in this process, clients are able to develop a personal mastery of their own lives.
