I firmly believe that it is most important to create authentic connections with clients. Real healing only happens when both the client and the counselor can be their real selves. I work to create within therapy a genuine and safe space that is not always easy to find out in the world. I hope to help clients learn to create these safe places for themselves through improved life and relationship skills. My goals are the client’s goals as my client-centered approach leads me to seek a better understanding of the client’s worldview and how it interplays with their daily tasks and interactions with others.

Counseling provides a means to healing. I specialize in treating clients who are at least 6 years old through adults. Children may face difficulties with anger management, bullying, physical aggression; difficulties in school, with peers or family members; and defiance. Issues for others may include but not limited to building coping skills for parenting, anxiety, depression, anger, grief, divorce/separation, teen pregnancy, domestic violence, physical/sexual abuse; sexual assault, P.T.S.D., relationship issues, communication skills, and conflict resolution. I work with youth and adults individually, as couples, and/or families.

My approach focuses on establishing an atmosphere of warmth, safety, and acceptance to provide my clients the space to work collaboratively with me towards their goals, positive growth/development, and overall wellness. Within this relationship, I assist my clients in challenging and replacing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are keeping them from a living a fuller and more satisfying life.

Jenna Robinson is an active and empathetic listener, and skilled at treating complex counseling issues with children, adolescents, and adults. She holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami in Miami, FL, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR, and offers extensive experience from a variety of outpatient and non-profit settings.
