Unfortunately I do not take insurance but I’ve lowered my rate to $85 an hour to try and make therapy as affordable as possible. I’ve been in practice 15 years and have opened my service area thanks to Google Duo & Facetime. I became a therapist after doing my own work over 2 decades ago and yes, I still do my own work with a therapist. It wasn’t easy but it was definitely the best thing I’ve ever done for myself, my family & my friends. I hope I can help you.

I provide psychotherapy services to both individuals and couples for a variety of reasons. I have assisted clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and stress or need help with anger management, assertiveness, marital discord or maybe need coaching for personal growth and development. I use an integrated practice style that is both strength-based and goal-oriented. Depending on what you want to work on, I may utilize various evidence-based approaches based upon the presenting problem. My name is “Guy.” It is my recollection that my grandmother wanted to name me after Guy Lombardo who was a Canadian American Bandleader and violinist of Italian descent. The name Guy has a French origin meaning “to guide.” As a licensed professional counselor supervisor, licensed chemical dependency counselor, and holding a degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, life has afforded me the opportunity to be a guide to others. However, before I could be a guide to others I have had to navigate through my own emotional terrain. -

I focus on providing a safe, calm environment where clients learn to trust. A warm and collaborative environment helps clients to regain a sense of felt safety, autonomy, and empowerment. Clients report they feel seen, heard, accepted, and understood. An environment free of judgement encourages clients to “use their voice,” a gentle prompt my clients hear often. Old ways won't open new doors. My goal as a therapist is to support my clients by creating an environment where we can work together to explore emotions, past experiences, and identify challenges that are causing difficulties in daily life. I have worked with all ages across a variety of therapeutic settings. I have experience working with clients that struggle with a variety of challenges such as substance abuse, depression, anxiety, self esteem issues, stress management, trauma, life transitions, and family conflicts.

I aim to assist clients in improving symptoms related to anxiety disorders, depression, suicidal ideations, grief, family and relationship issues, personality disorders, career concerns, school concerns, fear of death and dying in elderly clients, stress management relating to school, trauma history, domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex education. My goal is to develop a treatment plan for the client to reach their goals to improve their interpersonal relationships, self-love, emotional language, communication skills, and more.

On this journey call life, there are many ups and downs, twists and turns. Everyone needs someone to talk to in a comfortable non-judgmental safe atmosphere, a place providing warmth, compassion, and respect. As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have learned to ask amazing questions and then listen. My primary focus is helping women who are working through issues of depression, anxiety, grief/bereavement, obesity/weight loss, chronic pain, relationship matters, everyday stressors, or work-life balance issues. A holistic comprehensive approach is tailored to consider the whole person, while exploring the interactions between the mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social aspects of life.

Each person has an innate ability to manage their lives; however, sometimes they become overwhelmed and need help to tap into that natural ability.
