Initiating therapy can be difficult. Even the first phone call can be very anxiety provoking. My goal is to help you discover changes that can lead to a better understanding of your life. Psychotherapy is a process that involves finding the real truth within one's self. With a compassionate approach we will be able to help understand the conscious and unconscious factors that are keeping you from enjoying healthy relationships, love, work, family and other life related experiences. I believe in being empathetic as well as mindful of clients during sessions so that you are able to achieve the goals that you want.
My specialties include relationship issues, sport related psychotherapy, attachment issues, trauma, grief and bereavement, depression, anxiety, parenting, personality disorders and life transitions. Populations include Individuals, couples, families, adolescents. I have completed the Level 1 Gottman Method training
I completed my internships and training at The Baylor Adolescent/Sports Medicine Clinic and Baylor Psychiatry Clinic where I worked with adults, couples and families. I have also had training through The Houston Galveston Trauma Institute. In 2014 I completed additional psychodynamic psychotherapy training at The Center For Psychoanalytic Studies.
