Brène Brown: "Integrity is choosing courage over comfort." Often it is not easy to ask for help, to step outside of your comfort zone, but sometimes it is easier to have someone in your corner who can provide counseling and psychotherapy support. I work with children and adolescents to alleviate anxiety, stress, and ADHD symptoms. My focus to continually create a positive self-narrative and overall well-being for my clients. I want my clients to feel a sense of safety, sensitivity and wellness within themselves and with others. Please reach out if you are looking for ongoing therapeutic support through online counseling services.

I have been in healthcare as a mental health professional for over 35 years. As an integrative psychotherapist I combine both science and a broad spectrum of spiritual philosophies and practices. I assist by providing guidance and direction to those who seek healing. I work with you putting the pieces of the puzzle together helping you towards relief and ultimately peace. The combination of the traditional psychotherapeutic clinically based training and the multiple spiritual models of thought and various ideologies together are extremely successful and offer hope in healing.

Feeling stuck or frustrated with specific life stressors? Do you find yourself not happy with where you are at in life? Do you find little to no motivation to engage in previously enjoyed activities? By engaging in a therapeutic alliance, I strive to help others make changes towards living a happier, more constructed version of themselves.

With over 20 years of experience in various settings including agencies, in-home, partial hospitalizations, and private practice, I’ve had the privilege to witness some incredible transformations with people’s lives. I seek to provide a warm, healing, and nonjudgmental environment. I have worked with individuals, couples, and groups to help them manage stress and heal emotional wounds, bringing into awareness past learning that may block their happiness today. Many clients range from childhood to adulthood. I am comfortable working with most ages, yet really enjoy working with teenagers and young adults.

Are you feeling worried or unable to fully enjoy previous hobbies or interests that you once looked forward to? Or are you a parent of a child who is struggling emotionally or behaviorally in school or at home? It takes a great amount of strength to admit an answer to any of these, let alone seek therapy. I admire the courage of each and every person who makes the decision to come to therapy. My experience involves providing individual, group, and school counseling services to children as young as 2 years old, adolescents, young adults, and adults. I have unique experience in working with individuals on the autism spectrum.

Sitting in a rocking chair, rocking back and forth, may feel relaxing but I believe that life without therapy is like sitting in that rocking chair, rocking back-and-forth but never actually making any progress or going anywhere. I feel that everyone can benefit from therapy at some point during a lifetime, especially now during this unprecedented time. This pandemic has changed the way we live and has brought new levels of fear, isolation and hardships to many. Navigating through these days are difficult, why do it alone when you can get through it with a therapist who will support you along the way?

Most of the families or individuals coming to me over the years have hit a rough patch of circumstances --- or a life cycle period that presents challenges for them.

Making the decision to come to therapy is not always easy. I look forward to making this a helpful experience and to building a close collaborative relationship with you. Therapy provides an opportunity to learn more about yourself and to learn how to continue moving your life in a valued direction when you are feeling stuck. Childhood and adolescence can be a difficult time. I believe in taking a compassionate and focused approach to helping each person and their family find the support to continue moving their lives in a valued direction.

I place value on being able to provide telementalhealth services to people as it allows them to access care while managing their unique circumstances (health/mobility challenges, child/family/elder care responsibilities, transportation, financial means, limited services) and to meet securely in settings that are most comfortable and natural for us both.

I'm often asked, "When is it time to see a therapist?" I don't know anyone who can say everything in their life is going well all of the time. We all have challenges from time to time, but you don't have to go through them alone. I'm here to help you use your strengths to keep what is going right, and find your strengths when things are going wrong. I bring warmth, empathy, and a touch of playful creativity to my work. Parents who are overwhelmed by their children's behaviors, kids/teens who need someone other than mom or dad to talk to, and families looking to reconnect may find working with me to be especially helpful!

Being human isn't always easy. Sometimes it feels impossible. The foundation of my work with people centers on emotional expression, being able to talk about anything, say everything. The process of talking and being heard leads to tension release and allows thoughts and feelings to be expressed.
