Most of the families or individuals coming to me over the years have hit a rough patch of circumstances --- or a life cycle period that presents challenges for them.
Together we attempt to find workable ways of coping as well as creating new strategies to bring about change. I was a preschool teacher in a parent cooperative school for 25 years early in my career. I still consider couples, young families and their issues my specialty.
Now that my office is no longer in Maplewood Village but here at my home, I am able to offer more flexible hours and days. I realize that scheduling time for counseling can be a barrier to reaching out for help. I try to make that more possible and affordable.
