I offer a supportive and calm environment. I try to infuse a blend of optimism and realism to empower and motivate clients to make the most of their lives. My therapeutic orientation is eclectic and includes Humanistic, Existential, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), action-oriented, life coaching, EMDR and Biofeedback.

I work with adults in a private practice setting specializing in pain managagement and health psychology. I offer biofeedback, EMDR, treatment for mood disorders and PTSD. I am on staff at El Camino Hospital and accept insurance and Medicare. I am a qualified medical evaluator and provide forensic evaluations for surgical screenings and for legal settings.

Transformation in marriage is realistic with the right effort. Most spouses want a better marriage or happier spouse, yet something seemingly immoveable is often in the way. I guide couples to use challenges and conflicts to learn more deeply about one another; establish smarter, healthier boundaries; build trust, support, and responsiveness; and cultivate enduring, shared emotional and physical intimacy. My methods are adaptive, kind, direct, and swift. RLT moves fluidly from holding a space of curiosity, compassionate listening, and validation; to directive teaching, modeling, and coaching stances, depending on a couple's need.

My ideal client is an athlete or performer who has big goals, strong physical skills, and a great work ethic, but is under-performing too often. Typically it's performance anxiety, but often other issues are involved related to confidence, focus or motivation. What they want most often is to just perform in competition as well as they do in practice. I'm also very interested in helping people break through plateaus and go on to reach their highest dreams and goals. That's actually the main reason I'm in this profession.

If you need to talk about anything and everything, clients tell me I have a strong capacity for compassion, empathy, and care. At the same time, I’m forthright and candid. I see you and hear you—a whole person (body, mind, spirit) living in an interactive and interconnected world. I believe you're the expert in you - even if you're not yet aware of it. My role is to help you find that, and bring my own holistic vision, experience, training, expertise, and tools to the table, so you can work to be the best possible version of you.
