I am the owner and operator of Oconee Center for Behavioral Health. I am a marriage and family therapist who specializes in child and adolescent therapy. I also frequently work with families and couples who are in distress.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I empower individuals to experience emotional and mental health renewal, through gaining inner strength to overcome difficult situations and lead a rewarding life. I provide counseling services to Individuals and families facing difficult situations; involving emotional distress, grief and loss, relationship, community mental health and trauma issues. My services extends to providing In-home early intervention counseling to at-risk families with histories of physical and sexual abuse, neglect, school truancy , anger management, substance abuse , depression , grief and loss, adjustment and conduct disorders, oppositional defiant behaviors and high risk individuals for suicidal behaviors .

Since obtaining my master's degree in 2013, and working in community mental health, I have gained a great deal of experience in working with individuals that suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, relationship issues, LGBTQ issues, low self-esteem, and personal growth. I have worked with all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults.

Sometimes life gets hard and you need clarity to "recharge". I work with families and individuals to provide them with the necessary tools to create an open environment of understanding. Through individual & family therapy and life coaching, I assist clients in working through issues such as anxiety, self-esteem, anger management, educational goals, and self-image. I am here to help you. I am a licensed psychologist specializing in the treatment of individuals, couples and families. Over my 25 years in practice I have had extensive training and experience working with clients on relationship issues, depression, and anxiety. Each individual, couple or family is unique. Regardless of the problem, my approach is to assess each case on an individual basis. After a thorough assessment, a treatment plan with specific goals is formulated. I specifically tailor each treatment to the needs of the individual, couple, or family. These goals are then continually reassessed throughout treatment to ensure they are being met.

Samantha offers individual and family therapy for children, teenagers, and adults. She works from equine-assisted psychotherapy, dialectal-behavior perspective, cognitive behavioral therapy and other therapy modalities that fit client needs. This can be in-person or via telemental health. Treatment can include PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, anger management, autism, and much more with a solution based on your needs. She works with clients from all walks of life.

I am a down to earth, approachable person who enjoys meeting people and helping them find a way to navigate through the obstacles that life puts in their way. I do this by using the strengths clients already have, and by creating and developing new ones which we find together. I develop intimate relationships with my clients; therapy is serious business and there is a lot of work to be done, but I work side-by-side with my clients to achieve the goals we create in our initial sessions. There is room for laughter too, and there is plenty of that in therapy also.
