I am a highly experienced and versatile psychologist. I specialize in helping men deal with both typical and atypical issues, concerns and life problems. Men encounter a wide-range of issues such as: career dissatisfaction, anger management, relationship concerns, various addictions, anxiety, depression, sexual and career performance issues, estrangement, and impulse control. If you are seeking help virtually with your school age child or adolescent with anxiety or depression I am here to help. I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment in which your child can be supported in their efforts to release, heal and learn new skills. Underlying my work with children is a child centered, gestalt, experiential approach, and CBT. The tools I like to use when in therapy are: play therapy, sand tray play, expressive art, and mindfulness exercises. With teens I use a mandala expressive arts integrating interpersonal neurobiology approach to healing depression, anxiety, and low self esteem.

I have experience working with relational issues, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders, among other issues. Clients describe me as patient, flexible, and funny, and have often commented on feeling “seen” and “understood.” In session, I like to “follow you” wherever you want to take me so that we can navigate this process at your own pace.

I am a bilingual master's-level counselor working toward licensure and I am currently taking on new clients. I love working with individuals, couples, and teens. One of my favorite things about the process of therapy is getting to know you, your past experiences, and your goals in hopes that you might get to know more about yourself and the attachments we have created with those around us. I offer a warm and safe environment where we can address sensitive topics at a comfortable pace. I believe the client is the expert of their own life and we will work collaboratively to address your goals toward change.

My style is collaborative. The relationship between the client and therapist guides the work we will do together. By using a non-judgmental attitude and creating a safe place for you to feel heard, growth and insight can take place. Many times we find ourselves caught in patterns that no longer serve our well-being; sometimes it takes someone outside our lives to help us see how to change these patterns. Often rooted in the story of our past, these patterns keep us stuck in outdated ways of thinking. Therapy can be the process of liberation from these stuck patterns, but it does take a willingness to be uncomfortable.

Traumatic experiences can make us fearful of living, and daily experiences can sometimes confirm the lies we begin to believe about ourselves.
