You CAN feel hopeful and joyful again through counseling, Breathwork and/or Grief Recovery®.
I am a practicing clinical psychologist and Geropsychologist in Atlanta, Georgia (Sandy Springs). I work with individuals, couples, groups and organizations. My commitment is to help my clients experience relief from their immediate problems, and to obtain a more meaningful and deeper understanding of themselves for longer-lasting change in concert with their life goals.
Services provided include, but are not limited to, crisis intervention, individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, psychological evaluations, education, and consultation.
Life introduces a number of challenges and stressors that can be short-lived or persistent. Treatment involves exploring how you understand and engage with what you may be experiencing. Using a collaborative approach informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, my aim is to help clients manage distress with curiosity and acceptance, engage with what truly matters, and develop a more authentic relationship with the world around them.
My passion is facilitating growth and healing using your intersecting identities, both visible and invisible, as strengths. In addition to working with addictions and recovery, I am skilled in the areas of sexuality and relationship counseling including various expressions of consensual nonmonogamy, and BDSM/Kink. I have extensive experience with anxiety management, aging, career counseling, creativity coaching, mood disorders, divorce recovery, incarceration and reentry, and supporting those who practice alternative spiritualities.
Have you been feeling anxious or depressed? Do you feel overwhelmed by life's demands? Are you having difficulties with relationships in your personal or professional life? Are you or a loved one experiencing issues with substance abuse? It may, at times, seem like some situations are impossible, but there are solutions.
My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment in which my clients and I can work to resolve or manage the stressors in their lives. I believe a positive Therapeutic Relationship between therapist and client is essential when seeking solutions to life's problems.
**Thank you for your interest in working with me. I am not accepting new clients at this time. I will update this site as openings occur.** As a therapist with experience in substance abuse and addiction, I specialize in working with adults experiencing active addiction and early recovery from addiction, as well as family members and loved ones who are affected by someone's drinking or substance use. In addition to these areas, I also help people experiencing issues related to Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Men's Issues, Anger Management, and other Interpersonal Issues. Currently taking new clients.
You are not what happens to you. Crisis, transition, and past suffering can be overwhelming, and are even more so when you try to navigate them alone. Therapy is an invitation to step into a safe and nurturing environment to explore and resolve difficult challenges in your life. With safety and presence, tending and healing is possible. The things that have happened to you can become one part of your legacy, not the biggest part. You are not your suffering, you are so much more than that.
I believe we are all born with a palette of colors at our fingertips, and we get to choose when, how, and where we create and what to do when we are faced with a messy palette. It can often feel like your canvas has no potential or that it is already a disaster; however, the fact is you can ALWAYS keep painting, always add new colors, always change the scene. I want to walk with you through that process and assist you with being able to love and care for the life you are in the process of creating.
Life happens...There is no "money back guarantee" on relationships or experiences or even on thoughts or feelings. When things seem "off" or aren't going as they should, we have to figure out ways to adapt or cope with each situation. I hope to help clients build solid foundations in self-acceptance as well as in their relationships with their partners/spouses, children and parents, siblings, and in all avenues of their lives, so that they can adapt to each situation in a most healthy and positive manner. Personal growth is the key to positive change.
I have always had a passion for helping others and that passion was realized through returning to school and receiving a Masters in Marriage and Family therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine. My journey to becoming a therapist has been one of excitement and fulfillment. I have a passion for working with children, I believe that helping children create new coping skills or overcome life transitions leads to a healthier happy adult.
Relationship counseling and career counseling. Career and relationships. Focusing on these two areas allows me to help you in these important parts of your life.
Clients tell me that I understand what they are going through. Maybe like you, I have experienced some "turbulence" in my career and stressful times in my relationship. If you can't find a meaningful job, or if you're troubled by your relationship with a loved one -- partner, child, sibling, or parent -- I feel I can help. I would enjoy speaking with you, too!

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of your purpose in life? Are you hurt and unsure if you are ready to move on, but just can’t seem to uncover a new path? Some people just need someone to listen, get their experience, and understand how life is for them. You may have tried the same old things, which don’t seem to be working anymore. It’s often hard to ask for help, and seems a bit strange if you haven't been to therapy before.
Nearly everyone experiences moments of great difficulty and uncertainty. At times like that, hope is harder to gather, and we can find ourselves feeling stuck, unproductive, and maybe incapable. If you find yourself feeling stuck or not quite living as your best self , I hope you will call me.
