I became a therapist to share the gifts I have received since I first sought therapy for myself. Every journey is unique, but the following experiences are essential to the kind of therapy I’m committed to creating:
1. Discovering what you truly want and what you deserve.
2. Removing obstacles that prevent you from moving towards what you want.
3. Feeling, understanding, and using your emotions for growth.
4. Building resilience by facing and overcoming life’s challenges.
5. Realizing that there never was anything wrong with you.
6. Growing in a relationship with someone who only wants you to relax into your true self.

I am not what you probably think of when you imagine a therapist. I will be dressed casually. I'm not going to jot a bunch of notes while we talk, or ask you to lay on the couch (but the couch is available for laying, if you want). I'm probably going to try to make you laugh. We're going to get some work done in session, but it's not going to be as formal or awkward as you might expect from how working with a shrink is usually portrayed in movies and TV.

I have 16+ years of experience working with different mental health issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships problems, and Christian counseling.

Do your emotions feel too big, intense, or uncontrollable? Do you feel chronically overwhelmed and like you're not living the life you actually want? Is it hard to picture what that life might be? Do you struggle to feel seen, heard, and understood in your relationships?
Do you feel like your brain is just different and maybe you missed the instruction manual somewhere along the way? Has it been hard to find a therapist that actually gets you? I hear you – as a queer, neurodivergent psychologist my priority is always ensuring I’m understanding the perspectives, beliefs, and values of the person in front of me.

I enjoy working with those clients who recognize that change can happen and is good. I enjoy working with individuals, families, couples and groups. Those who recognize that change depends on them, individually and collectively. I do not cause change but only facilitate the process. As we are all in the process of living and life can sometimes be very difficult, we can learn and change everyday. I can help you become the person you want to be, just as the chrysalis wants and does become a beautiful butterfly.

Life is complicated. How we deal with these complications will determine the level of contentment one will have. You may not be the cause of all that troubles you, but you are the only one who can come up with solutions for these problems that will work for you. My job is to help you discover what is the reason for your pain and help you deal with the causes. Each person is unique, there are no cookie cutter solutions. I take a client centered approach to therapeutic interventions to help support you within your particular life situation.
