I have been in private practice since 1994, providing services for children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I have learned to treat a variety of conditions including Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Personality Disorders, marital problems, and other issues. I also provide a variety of assessment services including disability evaluations, psychological evaluations, custody evaluations, intelligence and academic achievement assessment, and personality assessments. I provide in person and telehealth options for treatment.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My main focus is helping people heal and understand themselves. I think we can all make a huge impact in the world when we are centered, grounded, and balanced. I hope to help you understand how you are moving in the world and give you tools that will help you achieve your goals.

Transition, trauma, and transformation are my specialties. Life transition, career transition, transition in relationships, racial trauma, the trauma of loss, sexual assault trauma, imposter syndrome, and personal transformation. Healing is complex and not linear. Using the mind, body, and soul connection I support you in finding healing, and a new sense of being. Healing is done in connection with others through embodied connection, awareness, and meaning or faith. Together through connection, you can bring healing into your life.

Hello, and welcome! Life can be very challenging and overwhelming at times. I know and I get it. For some, we tend to try to solve our problems on our own and reaching out for help is out of the question; sometimes it works. If you haven't been able to solve it on your own, I would love to meet you, and together we can create ways towards hope and begin the healing process. I believe that therapy can assist you by helping to identify what has worked in the past, what you already have within that you can draw upon in helping to obtain what you are hoping for in life.

With a Masters of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy and a Graduate Certificate in Systemic Couple & Family Therapy, l use mindfulness and holistic approaches to help you connect with your needs and goals, build better relationships with yourself and those around you, and help you overcome and face life transitions and challenges.

Everyone needs hope. We despair and turn to alcohol, food, shopping, sex and the infinite screen to fill our void. We think we know what we want: intimacy, confidence, inner peace and a sense of achievement. We want to matter. We are tortured at times by self doubt implanted by past traumas. I offer a secure place to be yourself to unravel your secrets, fears, shame and guilt. I have 26 years post-doctoral clinical experience counseling individuals, couples and families. I view human problems from a social systemic perspective addressing the individual and their social context.

Hi, I'm Lydia and I utilize a solution focused, mindfulness based approach to aid clients in exploring their authentic selves and behavioral patterns. Like a Phoenix, I believe individuals have the ability to rise from the ashes as renewed, stronger versions of themselves. Whether those ashes are from broken relationships, perpetual marital problems, crippling anxiety, career dissatisfaction or the aftermath of trauma, they have the power to transform you.

I work with adults and couples who want to better understand themselves as they work through challenges. I gather information and help generate ideas that support autonomy and healthy relationships. I support clients as they find strength in a challenging world, adjust to life transitions, and manage difficulties such as families, illness, grief, depression, and anxiety. Using EMDR therapy I can assist clients in processing and healing from personal trauma(s). I see therapy as an active and collaborative process. I am here to listen and to help you navigate a desired change.

Having successfully worked with a broad range of client issues from families in transition or conflict, to individuals with severe trauma and depression, I have been exposed to enough that nothing you tell me will shock me. I will not judge you. Often it is our unconscious patterns and life stories that influence the way we feel, think and behave. I can help you understand "why" so that you can change and feel better.... or perhaps gain the tools needed to ask someone else to change.

My training is in systems therapy, which examines the many facets of our lives interact. In therapy, we often look at how surrounding relationships and past experiences effect our current beliefs and values. If emotions and mood are difficult to manage, or there is difficulty adjusting to developmental and life stage changes, I offer support and tools to work through this. These challenges often arise for young adults, new mothers, managing intimate relationships and employment transitions. Too often, grief and loss bring up painful struggles for individuals and families. Therapy can be helpful in these most challenging times.

What is most important to you in your life today? What is working for you and what would you like to change? We will work collaboratively to identify and achieve the goals that are most meaningful to you, using an individualized and integrative approach that treats the whole person. You are an individual and there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach!

I wish to serve people of color and other marginalized groups who are in need of healing and need assistance processing grief, loss, frustration and exhaustion from life's trials and adversities. I would love to work with individuals, couples and families who are ready to step into their power and reclaim their voice. I personally understand that being a person of color poses many challenges in this country and seeking help from clinicians who don't look like you or talk like you makes it far more difficult. I see you and I'm here for you.

When life throws you curve balls, it can be hard to realize when you need support; especially when you've learned to cope by pushing through. You may not even recognize the signs, but deep down you feel yourself loosing your grounding. You may even fear the vulnerability in asking for help. Well, vulnerability is power and your bravery and courage are the first steps to getting what you need to walk down a new path. My goal is to walk beside you - through whatever mess is in the way, empowering you to envision where you'd like to be and guiding you through the journey of healing and growth.

Let's face it, life can be stressful. That stress can become even more pronounced as you navigate new transitions like becoming an adult, moving to a new city, starting a new job, or leaving a relationship. Often times we have the answer but just need help sorting things out. Sometimes family and friends can be too close to help you identify your challenges. Sometimes THEY are the challenge. Working and trying to manage day-to-day responsibilities is no simple task. This is why I a firm believer in therapy.

My goal is to travel with you on your pilgrimage to deeper self-knowledge, giving you tools for healing and emotional development as you shine a light into the shadow places of the soul. This goal is the same for individuals, couples, families, and groups. This can be a lengthy journey or a brief one, depending on what you need in your life right now. We will create a support plan together and have regular assessments in order for you to see how you are accomplishing your goals.
