I have completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Whether you are struggling with a specific issue or simply want insight into how you operate, I’m here to help. Often, a life transition brings people to therapy. Even transitions we choose—like starting college, a new relationship, or changing careers—can be stressful. If the transition is unexpected, like getting fired or facing a sudden health crisis, the impact may be profound. Together, we will work through the emotions and uncertainty that all transitions bring so that you can move forward with new insight and strength.

Utilizing the Gottman Method to increase communication and understanding allows partners to gain a stronger understanding of each others wants and needs.
Are you struggling with feeling off balance in your marriage? Does it feel like there is a lack of appreciation or attention from your partner? Does it sometimes feel like you are living parallel lives? All families and couples go through these feelings at some point in their relationships, but it’s about how you choose to cope and change the course of your relationships that matter most. It is important to feel valued and understood. I provide a safe space for couples and families to repair and rebuild relationships through communication, understanding, and trust building without sacrificing their individual identity.

I also work using The Gottman Method with premarital and marital couples around the country, couples who are often at decision points, dealing with repetitive conflict, and seeking real tools to connect better.
As your therapist, I'm here to provide a warm and supportive space where you can talk freely without being judged. I won't just sit quietly – instead, I'll ask questions, offer suggestions, and reflect on what you share. Together, we'll work on dealing with the things that might be bothering you in your everyday life, whether that be challenges with relationships, work, or family. Our goal is to help you feel better, be true to who you are, and improve your relationships. And along the way, you'll get valuable skills to reduce stress and move your life forward.

I offer couples therapy, drawing from the principles of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman method.
As a Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy, I specialize in working with couples, parents, and other family configurations. Many couples come to me wanting to learn to communicate and understand each other's perspectives, longing to restore a connection they seem to have lost. Parents come looking for assistance to bring structure and harmony to their home, often struggling with neurodiversity factors and behavior challenges. I also see individuals wanting to make sense of their past and resolve the effects of trauma and life challenges.

I offer couples and marital counseling, utilizing the Gottman Method to support partners in understanding, respecting, and appreciating each other's needs, paving the way for a renewed connection and mutual growth.
Do you find it hard to focus, act impulsively, or feel overwhelmed by work or school? Are social situations a source of intense nervousness for you? You're not alone if you find yourself in unhelpful patterns, struggling to understand your reactions, or feeling swamped by daily tasks. Life can sometimes spiral into chaos, leaving strained relationships, including marriages, and fostering feelings of hopelessness. If you're observing your child grapple with social anxiety or behavioral issues at school, it's crucial to address these concerns early on. I help adults, adolescents, and children acquire skills to break free from anxiety

Craig is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT prolonged Exposure, Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), the Gottman Method and offers parent coaching for parents with anxious children.
Clients can experience a life situation or a series of life situations that cause some level of unwanted emotional arousal (sadness, hurt, pain, fear, anxiety) and as a result of the intensity, increases an urge to do a behavior they consider ineffective (self harm, suicidal behavior, isolate, withdrawal, shutdown, verbally/physically aggressive, tantrums, obsessions, compulsions, avoidance, school refusal). They are in need of skills to help them cope with their emotions and problem solve their life situations. Despite the discomfort, they want to be effective, maintain relationships and feel better.

I use a variety of approaches like Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method to help you address and heal from past experiences.
Finding a therapist can be daunting, but finding the right one makes this journey worthwhile. You're probably here because you're tired of the way things are in your life right now. You've tried almost everything and your situation has not changed or has gotten worse. You want to see a change in how you navigate relationships (including the one with yourself), but you don't know how to achieve it.

With couples, I work from an Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT) perspective together with the Gottman Method.
How would it feel if we could turn the volume down on the emotional pain you’re struggling with right now? I see therapy as a way to help you better understand the nature of what you’re currently experiencing in a safe environment and to collaboratively find the solutions to create the life you want to live. Yet, change isn’t easy. My role as a therapist is to help effectively facilitate positive changes while reducing the emotional toll on you. Together, I’m confident that we can improve your quality of life and set you on a viable path to achieving your life goals.

I believe in helping individuals and couples gain insight and make behavioral changes to improve well-being. I believe empathy is important in the therapeutic alliance and I strive to create a safe space where the client(s) can feel comfortable in therapy and actively engage in treatment. With individuals, my approach to therapy is based in cognitive-behavioral theory, but also flexible and pragmatic, depending on the individual’s needs. With couples, I primarily utilize the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, and provide strategies to enhance effective communication, strengthen trust, deepen intimacy and manage conflict.

I am a Resident in Marriage & Family Therapy, Resident in Counseling, and am a registered facilitator for PREPARE/ENRICH™, SYMBIS™, and Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy™.
I have worked with many children, adolescents, adults, and families since 2017. Conflict in relationships, issues in communication, adverse patterns of behavior, and many more have been successfully addressed through counseling. Life is a journey that includes a lot of ups and downs. Sometimes all we need is for someone to walk along side us for a time as we face challenges that come along. I would like to equip you with the tools you need to address these. As we work together, my objective is that you gain insight and understanding about your personal struggles and feel confident enough to face them autonomously.
