I assist clients dealing with addiction and the related co-occurring issues (anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD/ADD, stress, bipolar, schizo-affective, schizophrenic, etc.). All of my clients have experienced some type of trauma, PTSD, childhood emotional neglect, intergenerational family issues, spiritual emergency / psychosis, etc., and addiction has been the result. Clients who have been impacted are in my estimation actually highly sensitive people and highly spiritual people. I now offer an 11-Session Emotional Integration Training program that teaches you to manage your emotions in a skillful way putting the tools in your hands.

My clients want to resolve emotional pain, to work through mental anguish and relationship conflict. They seek someone who can really understand them, someone with unique approaches in dealing with Life's difficulties, anger management, reaching goals, finding meaning, creating authentic happiness, and controlling obsessive and negative thinking. My clients simply want some guidance and assurance- having confidence with difficult decisions and discovering new ways of navigating painful emotions. My client population includes children, adolescents and adults. I work with individuals as well as families. I facilitate numerous groups and skills training curriculum in various topics including adolescent first offenders, anger management, divorce and separation, parenting, and teen issues.

I am licensed professional counselor (LPC) with almost a decade of experience working as a counselor. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology for University of Texas-Austin and my Master of Arts in Psychology from University of Houston Clearlake. I believe that we all have the potential toward growth and optimization when we have and use the necessary tools, alongside patience, to face and overcome life’s challenges. I am a licensed counselor and marriage and family therapist with 34 years experience and am equally skilled in dealing with individuals and couples. The problems I deal with most commonly are anxiety, depression, panic attacks, bipolar disorder, individual growth, midlife issues, relationship problems, anger management, conflict negotiation skills, divorce adjustment, blended families and parenting issues. I provide Christian counseling if requested. When working with couples I use John Gottman's research based model for marriage counseling coupled with key concepts of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
