Hi, thanks for stopping by! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY and NJ. Given the stress and pressures of every day life, virtually every one of us can feel overwhelmed or helpless at times. During the initial consultation, I work with the client to define the problem, identify clear goals and develop an agreed upon treatment intervention. I help clients deal with a variety of issues including struggles in their Christian walk, anxiety, depression, loss and grief, physical/sexual abuse, divorce, relationship problems and childhood disorders. Throughout treatment, I emphasize the strengths of each client.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies from Stockton University in 2016; however, after working at my University’s counseling center for four years, I decided to follow my passion for the helping professions and pursue a career as a therapist. I earned my Masters Degree in Counseling with a concentration in clinical mental health from Montclair State University in 2019, and became licensed as an Associate Counselor in the state of New Jersey shortly after.

I work with children and their families using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). My practice focuses on children with special needs, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety and other behavioral challenges. I provide ABA direct services for children, supervision of these direct services, school consultation and parent training. These services are provided using evidence based treatments with the goal of increasing socially significant behaviors and skill acquisitions. Dr. Burgess is a counseling psychologist and the owner of BB Counseling. Dr. Burgess received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts. Upon graduation, he went on to receive his Master's Degree and Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University. Dr. Burgess treats a variety of disorders including but not limited to anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, ocd, oppositional defiant disorder, ADHD, anger, chronic pain, marriage counseling, and parental counseling. Treatment also includes psychological evaluations for bariatric surgery, spinal cord stimulators, and long term pain medication.

Olivia is licensed in both New York and New Jersey. She specializes in perinatal mental health, first time parenting, and working with people in the LGBTQIA+ communities.
