In Internal Family Systems (IFS), we access our Core/Wise Self (intrinsic wholeness) - compassion, confidence, calm, creativity, courage, curiosity, connection. In deep Self-attunement, we gently invite wounded internal parts to come forth and heal.

For the past 30 years, I have been providing mental health services to adolescents, college students, adults, and families. My approach would be to work collaboratively with you focusing on your strengths and your capacity for resilience.

Accepting new clients. Asking for help is a sign of strength. From time to time everyone feels the need to call upon their strengths to face and overcome demanding situations and to cope and adjust to life's circumstances, both past and present. Gaining a better understanding of yourself and using that understanding to make both immediate and lasting changes can help this process. New knowledge and skills can come from a strong therapeutic alliance. Objective, non judgemental, and caring support promotes the ability to succeed. Life can be easier and more fulfilling than it is now.

I work with couples, individuals and families. Through the process of therapy, you can develop new ways of dealing with conflicts, communication difficulties, grief and loss, and many other daily concerns. In a non-judgmental and supportive environment, you can make positive changes for a stronger today and future. I believe that addressing the relationship between couples may require a “sacred space”. This safe space can allow the therapist to work with couples in breaking down walls that may have kept them trapped in overwhelming situations, and aid them in developing deeper connections.

I utilize techniques from positive psychology, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and dialectal behavioral therapy to connect my clients with their "true, inner selves," something which we most often lose touch with as we go about our lives in this often unpredictable and stressful world. Accepting new in-person patients - I consider the overlapping experiences of self, authenticity, identity, regulation, and relationships as central to therapy and the ways in which we make sense of ourselves and others in the world. I work with patients in an empathic, challenging, supportive and relational way toward life changes, as well as to discover coping skills tailored to their particular needs and experiences. I work from a relational, psychoanalytic, psychodynamic and attachment perspective of the whole person.

Representation matters and I am part of the LGBT community, latinx and have an invisible disability. I have been doing this work for about 10 years (MSW Boston College 2015). I am ready when you are! Genuine compassion and trust is at the root of any solid relationship and necessary for success to manifest! We have to be willing and ready to do the messy work. As your therapist, I also have to be ready. I have to be ready and capable of containing all of what comes up in therapy.

It is my passion to help individuals and couples heal, grow, and to become the best version of themselves, however they define that to be. It can be challenging navigating life's trials and transitions while trying to maintain healthy relationships in a world that feels disconnected and empty.

I specialize in treating children, adolescents and families with all kinds of issues ranging from anxiety to ADHD, as well as depression, divorce and blended families. I also provide adults with parent guidance, and see individual adults for psychotherapy. My theoretical orientation is mixed; training in family systems, psychodynamic, as well as cognitive-behavioral treatment. I see people ranging in age from 4 to adult!
