Most of the clients I work with are individuals between the ages of 18-50 that are struggling to adjust to a recent life changes, or cope with the challenges of their everyday life. Some clients are hoping or preparing for a change. Depression, anxiety or feelings of overwhelm can all show up during these stressful times. My clients and I work together to gain insight into the cause of their symptoms, and develop skills/strategies to cope with these symptoms. I do a lot of work with my clients to help them identify their personal boundaries and values, and improve their communication skills (to help set new boundaries!).

Dr. Packard is a Modern Psychoanalyst and Licensed Mental Health Clinician. He has demonstrated an unique ability to integrate various forms of therapy into one unified approach; a blend of cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic therapy for problems of everyday life. Why use Integrative Psychotherapy? Most clinicians know that no one single theory or therapy works for all clients, all problems or situations. However, the vast majority of therapists strongly adhere to one particular approach which is fine if their approach matches the client they are seeing, the problem they are treating, where the client is in treatment, and so forth.

I often find that clients come to me when they realize that something in their life isn’t working, even though they might not yet be able to put it into words. Perhaps they struggle with anxiety or low mood; maybe it's more about difficult family or relationship dynamics, or the pressures of parenting or other kinds of caregiving. They want to feel better, but they are also seeking to increase self-understanding, to feel freer, and to be able to make choices that reflect who they truly are.
