Hello! My name is Savannah Caceres-Lund. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MACMHC) and a Master’s Degree in Addiction Counseling (MAAC) from the University of the Cumberlands. I have seasoned history of in-depth work beginning in 1998 with individuals who are experiencing Substance Use Disorder issues. I have experience with residential people, outpatient as well as implementing programs in the correctional venue. I also worked with the Department of Defense for a few years in aiding service

People seek me out because they find their current situation intolerable - they are sick and tired of experiencing shame, intense anger, depression and anxiety. Perhaps they want to work on their addiction - the thing they use to numb the painful experiences. Their relationships are suffering as a result of their behaviors, being closed off, or "too much" for others. Many struggle with feelings of inadequacy, perfectionism and a deep sense of futility, which prevents them from taking charge of their lives and confidently pursuing their heart's desire.

When I meet a new client, I like to acknowledge that therapy is a courageous choice. Our first meeting is a time for me to learn why you reached out and what kind of change you are seeking. It is also a time for you to learn how you feel about me! If you return, then ongoing therapy sessions will consist of evidence-based practices that are specific to your goals and needs. We will measure and record your progress, so that you can make informed decisions about what works for you. Some people remain in therapy indefinitely because they like the ongoing support, while others exit after succeeding toward a specific, time-limited goal.

Life often feels like a series transitional periods and sudden changes happening all at once. It can be overwhelming, confusing and, sometimes, lonely. It is the way we move through those times in life that matters, and there is no shame in searching for support. As women, we often feel we must have every piece of life together and when one piece goes missing from the puzzle, we feel as though we have failed each step of the way. My goal is to assist clients in identifying triggers and stressors to their current life stressors as well as processing past trauma to assist in developing a plan for growth, healing and success. I work with individuals, families, couples, and adolescents facing tough challenges, transitions, and growth opportunities. I have over 16 years in practice with experience treating general mental health issues, substance abuse, co-dependency, trauma and grief. I work from a solution-focused, person-centered approach and address not only the individual in therapy, but their family unit or family of choice. I believe that individuals have the strength to create meaningful change in their lives, and as a helping professional, I offer support, facilitate and witness that change in a positive, friendly and collaborative way.

Hello I am an LSCW in Kentucky with experience working with those who struggle with addiction, grief, trauma, self-esteem, along with anxiety and depression. You will find in me, an empathetic therapist with a passion to help others navigate their way through the struggles that seem impossible to overcome.

My past clients have included couples, individuals, groups, those surviving an addiction, living with anxiety and/or depression, navigating a relational conflict, school-based treatment, grief, sexual identity, trauma, 2 and those seeking a safe space to understand themselves and where they fit into all of this.

My therapy style is built around our relationship, and through that relationship I promote trust, growth, and ultimately change. As my client, you will not feel judged or alone. You will, however, feel respected and validated. Affirmed. And challenged to look at your life. You will decide what you would like to change, and then we will set your goals together. I will walk alongside you as we look for the best version of yourself.

I believe everyone has the right to great mental health treatment regardless of their age or demographic. I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to seeing changes in their life, and apply skills learned in therapy to help them grow as their own individual person while also giving clients a safe space to work through their life experiences.

We all have an internal pressure cooker that holds strong feelings and repressed emotions. This is especially true with today’s adolescents and teenagers. When anxiety, fear, depression, and outside stressors fill their barometer up, they reach a boiling point of eruption that plays out in extreme anger, defiance, substance abuse, addictions to social media and screens, overeating, and other destructive behaviors.

I have been a social worker for over 20 years and look forward to assisting you in your journey to healing, acceptance, forgiveness, and peace of mind.

My specialty client populations I have worked with previously are those struggling with addiction, those experiencing homelessness, and at-risk youth. Any goal, need, and challenge brought to me are met with the understanding that you are the expert of your situation. I will work to assist you through using the skills I have accumulated throughout my education and career to best serve you at your most vulnerable times while learning from your experiences to provide the best possible care and further assist where and when able. I have experience in both outpatient and inpatient counseling, as well as individual and group counseling.
