When first meeting with a client, I find that it is helpful to establish the client's reasoning behind attending services, common goals, and identify a plan of actions to achieve those goals. I believe that the client is the master of their own life, and I am a guide to better the client's overall health. I will work individually with clients in order to provide them with the best care possible, and ensure they are on track to meet their goals. I will provide a listening ear, an unbiased stance, and accountability to ensure they are on track to meet their goals.

On the outside you have it all together. Nobody would ever guess deep down you feel alone, scared, uncertain if you will ever be able to love or trust someone. You long for intimacy and companionship, but your fear causes you to push people away and you don't know why. You sabotage most of the good things in your life because you don't feel worthy, deserving, or "good enough". You're tired of always trying to be in control when really you're coming undone. You don't know if therapy can help, but you need a change.
It is my deep belief that we each strive to be our best selves. This journey can be difficult and requires that we are able to recognize our own personal strengths and values. Clients should see the results of therapy in a measurable amount of time. This belief is where I begin treatment with the clients presenting problem guiding services.
Everybody thinks life at home is perfect. But deep down, it's a struggle every single day to keep it all together. The kids are running you ragged. The people in your family just don't get it. It feels like something is missing, and it has been for a while. When did it get this way? How did a life that was supposed to be happy begin to feel like a prison?

Do you feel like you've lost your sense of you? Anxiety can often keep us from enjoying or even participating in our lives. Do you feel like you are existing but not living? Is avoidance your best friend? Maybe intrusive thoughts are increasing the anxiety. Maybe, a disturbing thought crosses your mind and you think, "Why would I have a thought like that? This is not who I am." Maybe you can't sleep, you're exhausted, and you miss yourself... the real you. The most important relationship you will ever have is with yourself; nurture the relationship, grow, and evolve.
