Are you feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to turn? You are not alone. I am a trauma specialist who has compassion and understanding. My approach to clients is Client Centered and Trauma Informed Care. I help clients to understand how to make decisons that will empower them. I provide Direct Neurofeedback, which has been proven to help anxiety, depression, and traumatic brain injury to my practice.

Kelly has worked with clients of all ages (3+) to help navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, health conditions, caregiving, and family systems. She is passionate about helping you structure your goals to find the most effective methods of achieving them.

I am a trained ART Therapist. Accelerated Resolution Therapy is a form of psychotherapy with roots in existing evidence-based therapies. Which has shown to achieve benefits much more rapidly usually within few sessions? Clients with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, (PTSD) substance abuse, sexual abuse and many other physical conditions. My ideal client is one who is striving to make a change. In order for this to occur, there must be cooperation and mutual respect between all parties. I will also work with those who are unable to express their feelings & thoughts and who have built these up due to the stigma regarding mental health.

My background working with adolescents is extensive and incorporates dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused, narrative therapy and motivational interviewing to accommodate each of my client’s unique needs. I have experience in play therapy techniques such as sand tray, puppet/doll play and interpretive drawing. Play Therapy is a child's natural form of communication that reveals many hidden emotions for a child. My knowledge working with children from traumatic backgrounds, anger issues, anxiety and developmental delays allows for me to work with families to build stronger relationships.

As a licensed Christian counselor I work with many professional leaders in the community who are very successful in one area of their lives, but seem to struggle in other areas. Such as: personal relationships, anxiety management, stress, communication within the family, and trauma. They often feel stuck in negative patterns of interaction and desperately want to find relief. I am here to tell you that there is hope! You don’t have to struggle alone any longer!

Deciding to reach out for therapy is one of the most courageous acts. As a client, you want someone who will understand your needs and assist you through this journey. I am there every step of the way to provide support and guidance for any traumas, anxieties or mental health concerns you have. The Center for Individual and Family Counseling (CIFC) is a community mental health center that provides comprehensive outpatient counseling services to families, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Our goal is to assist individuals in verbalizing and processing their issues, emotions, feelings, addictions, and more regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or religion. We seek to assist those individuals who are in need of mental health services in order to improve their quality of life. We speak English and Spanish. CIFC offers individual, family, and couples counseling.

I’ve worked with children and adolescents in a variety of settings for over 20 years. My counseling practice focuses on helping clients work through the issues that prevent them from participating fully in daily living. I use “top down” approaches like Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) along with “bottom up” approaches like biofeedback that work to regulate emotion using the body and breath. I have a strong emphasis on self compassion because I have found that young people who struggle can be very critical of themselves. I work to validate their feelings and normalize their struggles.

I provide individual therapy, couples/marriage therapy, sex therapy, and juvenile/adult sex offender treatment. I utilize a strengths-based, person-centered approach to help support you on your personal journey. I am a certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and hold additional certifications in Conflict Resolution, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and in Women & Gender Studies.

Our practice focuses on helping you and your family rise through support and encouragement. Everyone has inner strengths that are valuable tools for their growth and journey. Our goal is to help support you or your family member as you discover and use these strengths. Our hope is that through providing a safe space focused on empathy and compassion; you or you someone you love can learn to express emotions effectively and increase knowledge and use of coping and communication tools. These skills can help anyone begin their journey of happiness, healing and wellness.

I believe in a strength based approach which means every client has a natural strength that can be used to improve upon any situation. My goal is to help clients identify and utilize the skills they already possess. Therapy approaches I often use to achieve this goal are EMDR, CBT, motivational interviewing, etc. I enjoy working with clients who are seeking to process through trauma. We have all experienced it at least once in our lives, and I love working with clients seeking to process and overcome these experiences. I practice a judgement free environment and enjoy learning as much from my clients as they learn from me.

Elizabeth Lugo graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. She has been working in the field for over 15 years and has specialized in trauma counseling in children and adults with diagnosis like PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Borderline personality, and OCD. She now works in her private practice at Trauma and Wellness Counseling Center where she provides Teletherapy services. She is also pursuing her PhD in Counseling at UCF.

Patricia Lomando, LCSW, RPT-S, provides neurodivergent affirming services for the child, adolescent, and adult. Depression and anxiety are passions focused on throughout her career. Using sandtray, expressive arts, Internal Family Systems and Play Therapy, she explores mood and prevention patterns, collaborates on coping strategies and helps identify those sometimes elusive gifts that are part of every neurotype. With expansive certifications in Registered Play Therapy and Infant Mental Health, she works through methodologies that bridge family gaps and help “translate” the child’s language through play, art and sand tray work.

We all have gone through some stressful and traumatic events in our lives and although we consciously know that, what we lived, are past events, at times, those past events somehow become our present that seem to interfere with our ability to form and maintain positive relationships in our lives and feel good about ourselves. I can help you freeing yourself from the past and have present clarity to create your true you, so you can live your life with purpose. I am fully bi-lingual in English and Spanish and enjoy working with clients from all different backgrounds.
