I believe in a strength based approach which means every client has a natural strength that can be used to improve upon any situation. My goal is to help clients identify and utilize the skills they already possess. Therapy approaches I often use to achieve this goal are EMDR, CBT, motivational interviewing, etc. I enjoy working with clients who are seeking to process through trauma. We have all experienced it at least once in our lives, and I love working with clients seeking to process and overcome these experiences. I practice a judgement free environment and enjoy learning as much from my clients as they learn from me.
I believe that each client is the true expert on their counseling journey. I am here to help navigate through the experiences and pain to a happier, healthier you! I have a particular passion for women’s issues and trauma. And I often incorporate expressive therapies through art, play and music.
I want to begin by letting each client know there is no "wrong way" to survive. Clients can address any emotion or concern that comes to mind as no problem is "too big" or "too small" for my office. I will be there to listen with empathy, never look down with pity and join clients in their darkest moments to be a support to help them through.
