I specialize in working with both couples and individuals who are dealing with complex trauma, PTSD, and religious trauma, as well as those who are exploring their identity and navigating life transitions, such as relationship ruptures, career changes & grief. I provide therapy to both adults and youth ages 16+. In addition, I specialize in working with Latin/Hispanic and LGBTQIA+ individuals. I am particularly passionate about supporting expats and professionals from Latin American countries as they adjust to a new culture and build a life away from home. I work with couples experiencing trauma, life crises, and major transitions.

I welcome all of my clients intersectionality in sessions. My clinical practice engages in culturally responsive trauma- informed healing. My work centers with LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.

I am a bilingual & bicultural professional counselor (English & Spanish) with 20 years of experience. I studied both in Mexico and USA, I specialize working with Latinx Clients. I have a very deep respect for your interest in seeking therapy. It is an honest and brave way to move towards growth. One of my favorite quotes is by Carl Jung: "who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes." Our sessions will be a collaborative exploration of your physical state, thoughts, and emotions to help you find some clarity, direction and healing. I aim for change to be deeper than our thoughts. It needs to be felt and integrated. I use Polyvagal theory and EFT/Tapping to inform the psychological work that we will embark on together.

As a mental health provider nearing 20 years of experience, I know these initial steps seeking support can be tense and uncomfortable. Hello! I am a bilingual (Spanish and English) psychotherapist and Licensed Professional Counselor based in Aurora, Colorado. I am an expert in individual, child, and family/couples counseling, with over a decade of clinical experience. I am skilled in multiple modalities of treatment, with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy) and EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy) being a some of my specialties. As a Hispanic woman, I understand the effects of being marginalized and disempowered in this culture. I would love to have the opportunity to meet you and hear your story.

My Motivation for this work is to help serve and support underserved populations, specifically the Latinx population. andi Gilliam-Elliott holds a master’s degree in Social Work in the State of Colorado and is in the process of obtaining her License as a clinical Social Worker. Her background includes degrees from Colorado Christian University and Newman University (Colorado). She is a military veteran with experience in the medical field, child abuse, individual & family therapy, children with special needs and school social work. She is currently a mental health provider for students with special needs on IEP’s.

My experience has been primarily with teens and young adults who are dealing with anxiety and past trauma. I work well with clients who need help moving forward in life and figuring out how to take the next step. I’ve spent many years working with members of the Hispanic and Latino community, mostly with members of immigrant families and I’m bilingual in Spanish and English.
