I've worked with diverse clients, including adolescent sex offenders, victims, and their families. I've also supported teenagers and young adults dealing with various challenges, such as depression, anxiety, and gender issues. Additionally, I've helped families and couples improve their functioning and build more accepting, respectful, and loving relationships.

Sarah, a graduate of Kean University in New Jersey with a Master’s in Social Work in 2005, has achieved significant milestones in her career, making her a seasoned professional in the field. Not only is she qualified to supervise Social Work interns, but she also holds the expertise to guide Licensed Social Workers on their journey to clinical licensure.

They're issues are centered around their relationships. Some examples are conflict with parents / friends, bullying, lack of self-esteem, and social isolation. Their needs include being heard & understood. Goals can be to develop more confidence in themselves and to make friends. Teens and adolescents just want to know that someone cares & is not judging them for their thoughts or feelings. This is due to the fact that they might not feel comfortable talking to family and sometimes friends about what's going on.

My primary treatment focus has been to use validation and empathy. I want to learn what goals you have and then help you in get to them. In addition to working with adults, I have extensive experience working with adolescents and their families in outpatient/school and inpatient settings dealing with anxiety, depression, psychosis, trauma, anger, grief and attention problems. I'm familiar with coaching DBT coping skills for distress tolerance, developing emotion management, and enhancing effective interpersonal skills. My greatest strength is in helping parents and their children reduce conflict and really hear each other.

I am a (LCSW) and (CCS) in New Jersey with 23 years of professional work experience. My approach can help you work through unconscious conflict (repeating patterns again and again without understanding why) as well as compulsive behaviors such as drinking, thought ruminating and habitual behaviors that are difficult to control.I can help you 'evolve' out of your particular problem.
