"Life without change is not living; To be uncomfortable means that change is right around the corner!" I believe these words wholeheartedly as every individual arrives at a crossroads that determine whether they move forward, backward or remain stagnant. I work alongside those who may be within a crossroad in life that has them questioning which direction to choose. In my work as a Therapist, my clinical training and experience encompasses depression, couples enrichment, grief/loss, separation/divorce, relationship issues, and other emotional/interpersonal disturbances. I specialize in trauma such as sexual abuse, domestic violence, and death/illness.

I have been married for over 45 years and have 3 adult children. Two of the children are biologically ours and the third is adopted. They have blessed Ronda, my wife, and I with 9 grandchildren. I heard the call to care for people as a clinical psychologist when I took a gap year after high school. My personal and professional value system uses Love as the measure of my behaviors and motivations. One of my favorite movies is “What About Bob”. This movie makes the point that therapists and clients are both human, with their own foibles. My general approach is “ I am just one beggar showing another beggar where to find food."

Veritas Counseling is a general counseling practice treating many of life's issues: anxiety, depression, couples counseling, family therapy, postpartum, child behaviors, parent coaching, trauma, PTSD, autism, ADHD, stress management, grief, death, and career counseling.  We do not participate with any insurance companies, but we will give you a detailed receipt to submit to your insurance for reimbursement of fees. We also accept all HSA/FSA funds, so if you have HSA money saved you can use it for counseling! Upon client request we also offer Catholic and Christian counseling.

Dr. Shedrick McCall, LMHP-R. Dr. McCall has a BA in Psychology (Maryville College), MA in Counseling (Liberty University) and Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology (Argosy University American School of Professional Psychology). Dr. McCall has worked in the field for over 25 years as a Juvenile Psychologist, Forensic Psychologist, Clinician/Counselor for incarcerated youth and has worked within the mental health field with patients/clients with clinical mental health diagnosis. Dr. McCall also has experience with individual, group, and family counseling.

Dr. Bohannon is a Licensed Professional counselor with a heart to see individuals, couples, and families completely restored. Dr. Donald Bohannon strives to bring an effective blend of experience, expertise, clarity, concern and action to the counseling process in order to maximize outcomes and provide genuine healing and wholeness to individuals, marriages and families. Dr. Bohannon is experienced in counseling children, adolescents, and adults. Emphasis include mood disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, conduct disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and trauma.
