I am a published author who has presented my research on group psychotherapy nationally and internationally. I am also a licensed massage therapist who practices mind/body work. As a past board member with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and a past member of APA's Task force on severe mental illness, I am an advocate for individuals and families who struggle with the stigma associated with these disorders. Phillip (Phil) Garcia is a Licensed Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, & young adults in crisis, with trauma-informed practice. I enjoy helping individual adults, couples, and families recognize and overcome any problematic cognitive or behavioral patterns that play a role in holding them back from living their best lives. Karaleigh obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and went on to doctoral program. Karaleigh provides telehealth and individual counseling to adults. Karaleigh has extensive experience in providing therapy to those with complex and chronic PTSD, difficulty managing stress, suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, trauma, and mood disorders. Karaleigh is trained in many empirically based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused and has training with the Center for Deployment Psychology. In today's world, it is easy to feel alone, even when surrounded by people. Between current life stressors and issues carried from our childhoods, life can feel overwhelming. In addition, I am beginning to work with the aging population. I, have, also, worked in the medical milieu as a psychiatric technician, as well as a hospital volunteer worker. My years of experience working as an advocate/counselor/social worker, in addition to my work in remote sessions with the general population supports my clinical skills.

For over 15 years I have worked with children, teens and adults managing difficulties with social, emotional and behavioral difficulties. The diverse experience with each age has given me insight to share in the therapy room with you.
