I enjoy working with clients of all ages towards their therapeutic goals. After years of experience, I am still in awe of the way clients overcome trauma and hardship. I feel fortunate to be a part of the process of healing as clients use and build their strengths through challenging times. I have experience helping children and families in a plethora of family set ups such as biological, adoption, foster care, kinship, etc. I enjoy working with children using play therapy and I am pumped to be a Registered Play Therapist. I also really enjoy meeting with adolescents, young adults, and adults using talk therapy- or play!

You may find yourself experiencing toxic relationships/codependency, eating disorders, drugs & alcohol, anxiety, and perfectionism – the list of the ways we distract and soothe ourselves from discomfort goes on and on. You may find the need to learn more about yourself and your relationships, process life events, share things that are difficult to share with other people, or to explore how past experiences have shaped you. I am passionate about helping clients foster self-awareness by using motivational interviewing, to meet you right where you are. You don't need to be in a crisis to benefit from therapy.

My passion is creating a judgment-free zone which allows clients to better understand themselves, set and achieve goals, and work toward living as authentically as possible. I strive to empower others in discovering solutions to their unique life situations by further developing personal strengths while also addressing maladaptive patterns, and navigating challenges effectively. I approach each session with an open mind; receptive to my client's needs and pace.

Whether you are beginning, re-starting or continuing therapy, I recognize that this process requires both vulnerability and willingness to dig deep into concerns that can sometimes feel debilitating. Everyone deserves to work with a therapist who will meet you exactly where you are at; that will normalize your concerns and worries rather than meet them with judgment and an “alarmist” perspective. I will remind you that you, and only you, are the expert of your experiences. My role is that of a catalyst; for you to learn how to advocate for your own autonomy with independence and connect to your personal truth with authenticity.

Starting therapy can feel daunting, but I understand the bravery and vulnerability it takes to seek help. As your therapist, I'll meet you where you're at, without judgment, and guide you through the process with patience and compassion. Together, we'll explore your concerns and emotions, empowering you to advocate for yourself and connect with your personal truth.

I believe that everyone is capable of achieving goals that align with their values and what is important to them. Unfortunately we encounter many stressors in our day-to-day lives that pull us away from living a valued life. Whether it's stress relating to work, relationships, chronic pain/health conditions, past traumas, symptoms of mental health conditions, or any combination of these that can act as barriers with living the life we want.

Shame is a soul eating emotion. Are you tired of feeling it? Doing anything you can to avoid it? Are you tired of thoughts consuming your mind? Tired of avoiding people, places, events? Tired of working endlessly to be perfect or to hide your imperfections? The most important part of therapy is finding a therapist that you feel comfortable with. I will provide you with a therapeutic relationship based on non-judgmental support, compassion and trust so that you feel comfortable discussing your personal struggles. Together we can identify areas where change can bring relief from the symptoms you are experiencing.

My areas of expertise are with emerging adults dealing with the unique challenges of transitioning into adulthood, couples in conflict or for whom trauma histories exist for one or both partners, and women coping with balancing the many roles they occupy. If you feel disconnected, either from yourself or others, I will join you in a process of being present and experiencing the transformative power of being seen and heard so that you can begin to see and hear your true self.

We all feel overwhelmed and stressed at times and need a place to sort through our thoughts and feelings. I aim to provide a calm and safe space for you to process and explore what your are experiencing. I am a warm and compassionate therapist using an eclectic approach, that is tailored to each individual. Focusing on your strengths, we can work together to reach your goals. I believe, I am best suited to provide either talk therapy or art therapy to individual adults.

When my clients walk in the door, I want them to feel my commitment to helping them conquer whatever battles they are currently facing. “I encourage them to show up exactly as they are–without fear of judgment–and to know that they will have an ally in me.” My approach is one that is open, honest, engaging and sprinkled with humor. I do my best work with children, teens, or adults that find themselves in the midst of a transition–whether it be helping a child cope with their anxiety, figuring out how to adjust to a blended family, or guiding an adolescent trying to choose which college to attend.

Anne Radakovich is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois who offers individual and couples counseling. She knows the client is the expert on themselves, so she follows as the client leads. Anne facilitates the environment that one needs to grow and build healthy relationships with themselves and others. Anne creates unique supports for each person she works with. She uses a combination of therapy approaches for the most success, including Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

LifeSpan Counseling & Psychological Services offers services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. In therapy, I work to create an empathic, open, and collaborative atmosphere to treat issues such as trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders. Identity development, grief and loss, relationship problems, and domestic violence and abuse are other concerns that I help people address through therapy. I practice primarily from a psychodynamic approach and also use cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and interpersonal therapy to enrich the therapeutic process.
