There is something transformative about telling your story aloud and knowing that you’ve truly been heard. Sharing your story unburdens you. Therapy is a space where you get to experience that. It’s a place where you can be yourself without fear of judgment, unpack your baggage, and experience meaningful life changes.

You’re intelligent, capable, and highly motivated, yet internally you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or constantly “on.” Perhaps your mind doesn’t slow down, emotions feel intense, or you’re carrying the weight of past experiences that still show up in your nervous system. Others see your competence, but they don’t see the effort it takes to keep everything running. It’s exhausting, and you don’t have to manage it alone.

I believe my role as a therapist is never to “fix” a client, but empower you to uncover a more enriched, fulfilled life. I have learned through years of professional training and a lifetime of personal experience; listening without judgment, with sincere empathy, and providing insight to better understanding of self in a safe and honest place shapes the foundation for positive change. Individualized treatment goals are developed in collaboration with each client, based on what you would like to achieve in therapy. If you are uncertain, that’s ok too, we will work together to identify areas to explore, therapeutic hopes, and goals.

Anxiety, PTSD, and substance use can leave you feeling misunderstood, exhausted, or stuck in patterns no one else seems to notice. You may be replaying painful events, coping with constant worry, or trying to change a relationship with substances while life keeps moving. Change is possible, and reaching out is a courageous step toward relief. These challenges often overlap with neurodiversity or past military service, shaping how symptoms show up and how healing happens. Together, we will meet you where you are and build practical strategies that fit your life.

I think of the work of analysis much like the process of working with a tangled knot: rather than following a step-by-step program, in order to know how to proceed one must involve one’s hands in the work of pulling on threads and becoming intimate with their interrelations. Gradually, through the radical space of free speech that psychoanalysis affords as well as the creative play of desire that comes to surround that speech, the tangled convolutions that we have accumulated in life can be loosened and streamlined into a means of tying our world together that feels right.

My ideal client is someone experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, or self-esteem issues, often linked to life transitions, sexuality and gender identity, work or school challenges, relationships, or family dynamics. They need a safe and supportive space to explore these challenges and seek guidance on how to navigate them. Their goals are to understand and manage their symptoms, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and improve their overall mental and emotional well-being. They want to regain control over their lives and feel empowered to make positive changes because they believe in their capacity for growth and healing.

Making the decision to enter therapy can be frightening and may weigh heavily on us yet it can make all the difference when we feel stuck, conflicted, or alone. If you have something in mind that you would like to see change, we can work collaboratively to address emotional barriers, past experiences, stressors, or relationship patterns that may be exacerbating your concern. I believe that a safe, warm, validating, culturally competent, and empathic therapeutic relationship is the foundation for change.

Living with a chronic health condition can quietly shape every part of your life: your energy, your mood, your relationships, and how you see yourself. If you’ve been carrying the emotional weight of illness, stress, or ongoing uncertainty, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m an LCSW supporting adults as they navigate the mental and emotional impact of chronic health conditions. My goal is to offer a compassionate, steady space where you can feel understood, build coping skills that actually fit your life, and move beyond just getting through the day toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and fulfilling.

Here you are, caring for yourself by seeking out therapy. It takes strength and honesty to ask for help. It may be hard to always treat yourself like you love yourself because you may have thoughts that are telling you otherwise. Perhaps there are others in your life that don’t make you feel like you are lovable, valid, and worthy of care (which you are!). Or the weight of the oppressive forces of our society is becoming too heavy for you to hold your head up high on your own. Whatever brought you to your search, welcome.

I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress, and other anxiety related conditions. My approach emphasizes giving the client control over the process of approaching the things, situations, and experiences that they fear. The goals for many of my clients often include reevaluating the things, situations, and experience that they fear to reduce anxiety; to decrease and/or eliminate medications for managing anxiety; and to live a more fulfilling life.

My whole life I've been less about the "what," and all about the "WHY." I am drawn to what is "below the waterline" in people, and I help my clients work through life's messy questions and challenges, so that they can better understand themselves, and break free from whatever they're struggling with. In life we're often taught to "suck it up," "keep going," "be tough," etc. and what we really need is someone to journey alongside us and help us carry the pain, and make sense of it all. I work with clients to help them achieve their best and their full potential, and to connect to themselves.

I have a few morning session slots- reach out! We all have the capacity within us to effect positive change in our lives, but sometimes we get “stuck” in vicious cycles. In these times we may need additional guidance and support in order to get through some of the things life has thrown our way. If you are here, it means you are at least considering making those changes. I utilize an integrative, harm-reduction approach which draws on the unique strengths of each individual as the key to narrating their own healing process. I enjoy working with a wide variety of clients, but specialize in adult and young adult populations.
