I am a licensed professional counselor since 2008 and working in the field since 1996. My ideal client ranges from adolescence through adulthood.

I have been afforded the opportunity to treat those combating anxiety, ADHD, depression, identity issues, life transition concerns, marital conflict, parenting stress, and relationship friction. The work has allowed me to treat individuals and families at all life stages, each with different backgrounds and personal histories, but always with a meaningful connection formed in the process.

My name is Michael Levin, I'm a licensed professional counselor that believes effective treatment is individualized and tailored to meet the needs of each person treated. I utilize an evidence based blend of counseling techniques to support the individual needs of the people I work with. I meet people where they are in their lives and move at a pace that works for them. My areas of professional interest include individual therapy, anxiety, depression, trauma, difficulties with transitions and adjusting to new situations, interpersonal relationships, and psychoeducation. I have spent the last 10 years working with college students.

My desire is to serve client’s who struggle with substance abuse. This is my speciality and there are many issues that surround substance abuse e.g. issues of self esteem, self worth, family of origin issues, traumas physical mental and sexual. There are also issues of neglect, abandonment and disconnection/dissociation from the self and from the inner child. In addition to my expertise in these areas I also counsel client’s for domestic violence, anger management, anxiety, depression and grief and loss. I believe that client’s need to have the ability to talk about these issues in a safe and nurturing environment.
