My name is Myriam, I am the practice owner of Your Family Wellness Village, where we care for the wellness of all family units, ranging from individuals, couples, and families, from adolescence to adulthood. Our aim is to provide you with emotional and practical support whether you struggle with depression, anxiety, OCD, self-injury, or adjustment to parenthood. I am trained in Rational Emotive Behavioral therapy and the Psycho-dynamic models. My experience includes work with adolescents and young adults with behavioral and/or mood disorders in both outpatient and residential settings. At Northwestern I studied psycho-therapeutic practices while learning new breakthroughs in treatment. The program was conceptualized in the context of ethics, multiculturalism, lifespan development, advocacy and community outreach. We all would like our lives to be deeply satisfying, with good relationships, a sense of belonging, and a feeling like we are contributing members of society. However, sometimes we lose our way. I believe that, without exception, every individual carries within, the capacity required for healing to occur. As a therapist, it is my honor and privilege to help clients and their families uncover and understand the meanings and feelings associated with their symptoms. Whether the primary client is a child, adolescent, or adult, I work collaboratively with couples/parents to create a treatment plan that is right for the family as a whole. From this perspective we can then work together to discover more adaptive and creative ways to solve problems, build relationships, and live rich and fulfilling lives.

I effectively treat Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Panic, and Chronic Pain. Mind-body imbalance can cause neck and back pain, stomach problems, headaches, which I have success treating. I also specialize in eating disorders, specifically in weight loss and weight gain prevention.

Johanna Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois who has been practicing since 2017. She obtained her Master's in Social Work from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Johanna works in a compassionate, caring, yet straight forward manner with clients. Johanna tends to look at the client in environment and look at the need behind the behavior, rather than solely at the behavior in order to make change. Outside of work, Johanna's passion is spending quality time with her children and dogs. Family is her number one priority.
