My name is Megan Byerly, LCMHC, and I am an undergraduate from Western Carolina, double majoring in Psychology and Recreational Therapy. I then obtained my graduate degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have been working in the field for over 5 years, in various settings.

My specialty is working with individuals within their family dynamic as they transition through life's phases. I appreciate providing therapeutic services to clients as young as nine years old along with young adults and retiree's. I enjoy helping parent's improve their relationship and exploring their child/parent relationship. If applicable, I can provide individual session to both the parent and child. At the correct time we will come together in family sessions to explore understanding of each other and figure out ways to rectify any underlying issues.

Dr. Susan B. Wilkie (PhD, LCMHC, LMFT) is an experienced, licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) and licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in private practice. Dr. Wilkie earned her doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling at the University of New Orleans in 1994. Her post doctoral work was committed to Couple and Family Therapy for (16) years where she recently served as the Founding Director of the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Pfeiffer University's Graduate School in Charlotte. She is now committed to her private practice full-time in the Belmont/Cramerton/Gastonia area.

You may have even been told that you shouldn't act a certain way because of how it will appear to others. You have avoided reaching out for help because people may think you are "crazy" but I want to tell you that you are not alone.

I am passionate about helping individuals find the strength and insight they need to enjoy life. I specialize in helping individuals find a holistic balance between spirit, soul, and body. My focus in counseling is to help clients find the inner strength to face life's challenges through desired goals that lead to a more productive lifestyle. Whenever there is a breach between spirit, soul, or body, life becomes fragmented and must be restored. My broad scope of experiences and holistic perspective enables me to encourage individuals, couples, marriages, families, and groups of different cultures to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Leadership is hard. Many leaders, entrepreneurs, and CEOs have had incredibly hard life circumstances, trauma, abuse, or lack of privilege and yet, they have a resilience that pushes them to strive for escaping their circumstances. This resilience and drive is a gift, but it is also a double-edged sword. Many leaders struggle with loneliness, isolation, perfectionism, stress, and people-pleasing. They often have competing demands and roles. They are so much for so many people. As a trauma specialist for a decade, I was surprised at how many of my clients were so driven while coping with really hard things or unhealed past wounds.
