Is your body trying to tell you something, but you’re ignoring the insomnia, the stomach pains, shortness of breath and the heart palpitations? Maybe some days you feel like you are stuck in the mud unable to get motivated or find the energy to accomplish what you need to. Maybe you feel that it is your relationship with your spouse that is bringing you down and you want to learn how, when and what to change to get the spark back into your relationship. I have 22 years of speciality in the treatment of mental health difficulties and relationship conflict.

It takes a great deal of energy second guessing your decisions and worrying that you are failing yourself and those around you. And once you expend that much "mental energy" spinning your wheels, irritations and feelings of inadequacy increase. It doesn't take long to then feel like you're losing control and wonder what you keep doing wrong. When this happens, we often distance ourselves further, we stop expressing our feelings, and we begin to suffer in silence. And, it can be scary reaching out to a counselor because you really want to connect with them.

My experience is in working with emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, selective mutism, trauma, oppositional behaviors, family change, loss and grief, parenting skills, adoption issues, spiritual awakening and trauma.
I believe all clients hold the key to their own success and can be guided to that end in a safe, trusting, honest environment. Building relationship and skills for growth, understanding and healing are among my goals in therapy. My personal journey through adoption, trauma, abuse, raising a child with mental health concerns, spiritual enlightenment, natural mental health, divorce, and remarriage have become the gifts I share though therapy. I believe the keys essential to reaching any goal lies within each of us believing in ourselves and knowing that someone also believes in us.

Trauma, anxiety, and ADHD that are unaddressed will have you feeling shame and guilt that never seems to go away. Feeling exhausted and disconnected from the people around you. Difficulty trusting others. Living in fear. Challenges with starting things and seeing them through to the end. Procrastinating and feeling "stuck". A critical voice in your head that never seems to chill out... To live this way can feel incredibly draining and debilitating. It doesn't have to be this way. There is hope and healing on the other side.

I am passionate about working together to ensure that you become an expert on yourself and believe in your own insight, strength, and self awareness.
