I have worked in the counseling field for 25 years.I work at Buckingham and Associates in Indianapolis. I enjoy working with adults, couples, families, and teens. I help my clients grow, change, improve, and overcome issues in their lives. As a mental health professional, Dr. Journey has a career working alongside predominantly people of color and people of faith who are looking for a healing space that is integrative and engaging. C.G. Jung wrote, "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." I am interested in helping people bring their unconscious (traumas, memories, trapped emotions, younger selves, stuck energy) safely into conscious awareness so these parts can be unburdened and healed. There are many ways to do this: EMDR, ego state/IFS, breath work, somatic therapy, meditation, among others. I love shadow work and helping clients heal at the deepest level. I typically have a waitlist, but the length of expected wait time varies from time to time.

Deanna Miller is a licensed independent social worker with 22 years of experience. She earned a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Wyoming. She has experience as a therapist working with adults in various settings including: hospitals, inpatient/outpatient psychiatric units, community based, and long-term care facilities. In the past, she has served as a Clinical Supervisor and Regional Manager for several organizations including Lifestance. She provides individual therapy for adults using a virtual platform.

I primarily treat depression, anxiety, and PTSD and I also have strong experience working with LGBTQIA individuals and am a trans affirming provider. I primarily see adult age clients above the age of 21 in my practice. My ideal client is someone who takes the lead in therapy and utilizes our time together in a way that makes sense to them based off of the difficulties they are experiencing. I enjoy helping my patients identify potential roadblocks or thought processes that may be holding them back from their desired lived experience.

I have worked with individual men and women dealing with a wide range of struggles. Some of the struggles that I have helped clients with include depression, anxiety, addiction to multiple different substances, borderline personality disorder and other personality disorders, and co-dependency. I also have a lot of experience working with couples as well. I have helped couples work through and heal from infidelity, addiction to various substances, conflict management, and improving communication skills.

I offer my clients a listening ear, openness, and curiosity. I encourage the intersection of theology and counseling, when it’s welcomed, and I encourage a creative approach, using elements of our culture, such as film, music, various forms of written fiction, and more. I recognize that no two clients are the same. I bring my unique self into each session, and I encourage every client to do the same. And, I am comfortable with difficult things, and the dark places.

Christopher M. DePoy is a board-certified Licensed Mental Health Counselor from Huntington, Indiana who works with all ages and genders as well as specializes in substance use and court-ordered treatment. Mr. DePoy has extensive experience with substance use disorders, youth autism, and DCS reunification goals. Chris’ treatment approach comes from a Rogerian perspective in that patients are their own experts and will identify areas they need help with. "People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, "Soften the orange a bit on the right-hand corner."

I have been in practice for 30 years and having earned the Diplomate in Psychoanalysis, I have received the highest level of professional training available in psychotherapy. In addition to providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families, I also teach graduate school, supervise graduate students, and provide expert consultation to the local court systems and Officers of the Court.
