Indianapolis, IN 46278
At Addiction Rehab Centers, we embrace a unique approach to rehabilitation that focuses on addressing the root causes of addiction, rather than merely its symptoms. Recognizing that addictive behaviors and substance abuse often stem from deeper, unresolved issues such as trauma, abuse, and emotional distress, our treatment philosophy centers on unraveling these underlying factors. We firmly believe that recovery should not be commodified, which is why we advocate for a treatment model that transcends the conventional Twelve Steps. Our goal is to delve into the complexities of each individual's journey, uncovering the reasons behind their addiction to help them avoid the trap of emotional avoidance. At ARC, we offer a transformative experience—"A Different Way To Treat People"—tailored to foster profound healing and lasting change.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an effective treatment for people who struggle to manage their emotions, stress, relationships and impulsive behaviors. Our DBT Intensive Outpatient (IOP) level of care program is aimed at helping patients create the life they want to be living by teaching behavioral & cognitive skills to manage emotions, tolerate distress, and improve interpersonal interactions. Our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) level of care program is designed to assist patients who are currently experiencing significant impairments in functioning in different areas of life (such as work, school, relationships, etc.) due to the severity of their mental health symptoms. The program typically treats individuals who have tried traditional outpatient therapy and need a higher level of care, or those stepping down from acute psychiatric hospitalizations. The IOP also treats patients who are experiencing more severe symptoms that traditional outpatient therapy may be too slow to address. DBT gives patients cognitive and behavioral tools to change problematic behaviors and thoughts, and teaches skills for improving their lives and relationships.

Treatment Center
Lawrenceburg, IN 47025
East Indiana Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who have addictions to heroin, fentanyl, prescription painkillers, and other opioids. Research shows that people who participate in MAT have higher treatment retention rates and a lower risk for relapse. MAT combines prescription medication with counseling to comprehensively treat opioid addictions. While some methadone clinics only offer one medication option, our CTC provides methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone, and naltrexone for our patients. These medications alleviate the discomfort of withdrawal so that people can have mental clarity and focus on their recovery goals. Medication is effective, but medication alone is insufficient to treat opioid addiction. Counseling is a crucial aspect of MAT. Our compassionate and qualified professionals lead group and individual therapy sessions, where you can learn coping skills and receive encouragement throughout your recovery journey.

Adults age 18 and older who are struggling with symptoms of opioid addiction can seek treatment at Richmond Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC). Located in Richmond, Indiana, our CTC uses medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which is an evidence-based approach for helping patients overcome addictions to prescription painkillers, heroin, fentanyl, and other opioids. Unlike traditional methadone clinics, we offer several types of medication, including methadone, naltrexone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone. The type of medication and dosage you are prescribed will be determined by our skilled clinicians based on information gleaned from an initial assessment you will participate in prior to beginning treatment. MAT pairs the use of prescription medication with counseling sessions to address both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction. Medication can help keep you comfortable by lessening symptoms of withdrawal, and therapy sessions can help you explore substance use history and underlying causes of addiction.

Parkdale Center for Professionals
Treatment Center
Chesterton, IN 46304
Parkdale Center focuses on the treatment of “Professionals.” Our treatment program is designed to be most helpful for adults in careers with substantial stressors and responsibilities. Our patients are often highly-motivated, well-educated, successful, and career-driven. These professionals may inadvertently place their licenses, certifications, or positions in their company at risk because of their substance use. In some cases, they may also face legal action if caught using substances on the job, diverting medications from work, or in some cases, working while impaired. In a worst-case scenario, they may ultimately put others at risk because of their unmanaged or undiagnosed SUD. We offer a supportive, judgment-free environment where our patients can begin to recover from their substance use disorder, but they will receive unparalleled ongoing support and assistance with legal, licensing, professional, and regulatory issues that may arise as a result of their SUD.

FAQs - About Treatment Centers and Rehab

How can I find a treatment center in Indiana?

The Psychology Today Directory has customizable search options that show potential treatment centers tailored to your location, including inpatient or outpatient, the types of insurance accepted, and even the programs the center specializes in. Finding the right treatment center can be vitally important, and the dropdown filters make it easier to find the best fit for you or your loved one.

How do treatment centers work?

There are treatment centers for individuals dealing with psychiatric issues as well as for those dealing with substance use or addiction, or who are dealing with both, also known as co-occurring disorders. The type of program that is right for an individual depends on their medical and mental health history, the severity of the issues they are dealing with, as well as their treatment goals. Individuals using the directory can filter to find a center best-suited to them based on their gender, the issues they are facing, such as addiction or a mental health condition, or the type of treatments they are seeking.

What is the difference between inpatient and outpatient treatments?

In an inpatient or residential treatment program, individuals receive treatment while living in a facility and have 24/7 access to care by medical professionals. There are various forms of outpatient treatment that offer different levels of care, including Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs). PHPs tend to offer more time-intensive, supervised care than IOPs. Aftercare is another option that offers ongoing treatment for an individual recovering from substance use or addiction after they have achieved initial sobriety, which can take the form of either an inpatient or outpatient program.

How long is rehab?

Short term treatment usually lasts less than 30 days, while long term programs can last 60 days, 90 days, or longer, depending on the needs and goals of the individual and the structure of the program. Individuals searching for a treatment program in the directory can filter results by duration.

How much does rehab cost?

The price of treatment varies according to the length and type of service you search for, such as detox treatment, residential treatment, or outpatient treatment, as well as location and amenities offered. Non-profit centers are typically less expensive than private centers, but may have longer wait lists. Using the filters on the Psychology Today Treatment Center Directory can help narrow down which centers accept insurance plans, and, if so, which ones.

Does insurance cover rehab?

Health insurance typically covers rehab, but the extent of coverage depends on the particular policy, the treatment provider, and the needs of the individual. Individuals are encouraged to check with their insurance providers prior to entering a treatment program. Once you have confirmed coverage, you can use the Insurance filter on the Psychology Today Treatment Center Directory to find and contact centers that accept your insurance.

How do you get someone who refuses treatment into rehab?

It is important to convey compassion and understanding toward an individual dealing with an addiction problem. If a person refuses treatment at first, it’s important for their loved ones to continue to express their concerns in a kind and respectful manner, and to periodically encourage them to get help. It can take time for someone dealing with addiction to gain the motivation to make a change. In the meantime, it can be helpful for loved ones to set boundaries with the individual and educate themselves on the many treatment options that exist in order to have more informed conversations regarding recovery.
