The biggest desire I have in my life is to help people. In this difficult time, everyone needs someone to rely on and navigate through life's challenges. I am an experienced counselor who is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with OCD, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and BFRB. My treatment approach is based on CBT, Exposure Therapy, ACT, REBT, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Utilizing evidence-based therapies ensures that my patients are receiving the most up-to-date, effective, and efficient therapeutic interventions available.

I am certified with 200 hours of specialized training in Mindfulness and Yoga techniques and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy. I provide a safe, comfortable space to build client and therapist relationships so that client challenges can be addressed in an environment of trust and security. I help my clients find effective ways of coping with difficult life circumstances.

I am devoted to establishing a strong rapport with clients while recognizing counseling as a collaborative process. I believe it’s important that clients feel safe when sharing their innermost thoughts, feelings, and concerns. I have provided counseling services in a variety of different settings including community mental health and private practice. I am experienced in working with children, adolescents, and young adults with difficulties including self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma, and ADHD symptoms.

My interest includes cross-cultural issues with couples, individual therapy, and group therapy. I have extensive experience working with adults who are coping with trauma, domestic violence, struggle with depression, anxiety and addiction. My earlier work focused on immigrants and refugees who have experienced trauma. The therapeutic relationship gives clients a chance to safely explore new effective coping mechanisms to improve the quality of their lives. Jane has 13 years of training & graduated from Loyola University Chicago. Jane is the founder of Summit Counseling Group, which helps people to live happier, healthier & more productive lives. Through the use of humanistic psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, & integrative holistic approaches, clients develop skills and coping tools to better manage life's various obstacles. She incorporates evidence based mindfulness practices as well as mainstream psychotherapy approaches. Additionally, she utilizes an experiential Game Consulting method. Her multicultural background and passion for integral psychology allows her to incorporate progressive methods that are tailored to meet the needs of clients from diverse backgrounds. Maria provides therapy in Russian and English.
