Justin engages clients with a warm, empathetic, non-judgmental style. He specializes in working with young adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and those in life transitions who find it challenging to move forward in life the way that they desire. Justin's develops a therapeutic relationship where the client can explore what provides them with a feeling of purpose, and learn how to navigate life at challenging times.

I approach my clinical work with an emphasis on relationships, attachment and the importance of multi-cultural and relational approaches. I understand the value of knowing where a client comes from and where they have been in order to collaboratively develop interventions and approaches that are safe, effective and familiar. I believe that in order to truly help clients they, and I, must understand the context in which they live and learn and that the work we do in the clinical room must be transferable to their everyday life. Many of my clients are seeking guidance on how to engage in and maintain healthy relationships.

Bola earned his M.A. in Clinical Professional Psychology from Roosevelt University, Chicago. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and has experience working with individual, couple, group, and family of diverse backgrounds and psychological issues. Area of interest include anxiety, depression, substance use, anger management, grief and loss, trauma, marital conflict, family issues, and crisis intervention. Along with CBT, Bola utilizes strength based approach, collaborating with clients in identifying, nurturing, and utilizing the identified innate strengths in attaining clients improved mental/emotional well being.

I am devoted to helping people not only address their physical and mental health, but also to identify how stigma impacts the healing process. I began in 2014, working with both adolescents experiencing Substance Use Disorder and their families. Since that time, I have developed skills working with people experiencing a wider range of challenges including: depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma. My intention in every session is to provide a safe space for people of any race, gender, sexual orientation or family structure (however that may look for you). Asking for help is hard and I can only hope to honor that.

If you’re turning to alcohol or drugs, work, or other unhealthy outlets to “take your mind off things,” you don't have to navigate this struggle alone. I support men to address the issues impacting school, work, or relationships, leading to improved mood, social connections, and goal achievement.

I am a Licensed Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the Metropolitan State University in Denver Colorado with over fourteen years of experience in social work, starting with organizing for labor and community campaigns, followed by working with veterans who were experiencing homelessness.

The ideal client is seeking out reassurance and support in times of calm as well as crisis.
